Good grief, Rhys has been hard work this morning! Remind me never to wish for him to have a lie in again :o He had an hour's extra sleep and has been a ratbag all morning. Just got him napping on our bed.. :) Lunchtime!

Anyone had Hot Stone Massage or Hopi Ear Candling?
Had a hot stone massage last thursday. I was a bit sceptical but it was lovely, bliss :D

The warmth of the stones dissolves out the muscle knots and the therapist can apply a good pressure with them to the muscles. Yum yum yum :)

MFD, the fergster is erm, definitely getting there :rotfl:he's been cruising the furniture since before Kezzie came and now walks holding one finger for about 50-60 steps.

If anyone is in real life contact with Tia, please send lots of love from us.

Mel, Hope finances get less pooey for you. Please say if there's owt we can do.

EA, thanks for saying about midwifery thoughts. I was curious really about whether you'd feel able to be practising as a MW and then 'do' labour again. I'm always quite intrigued by that.

I will do birth trauma counselling as soon as I know I'm done with labour myself. But I'm not sure if it's quite the same IYSWIM?

Well i said, as a MW and a mum i would have the experiance to help other mums to be with.
I wont be one of them MW's that say it doesn't hurt when the most they've had is a tampon in there! :rotfl:

I didn't think my labour was that bad. It hurt like hell, but i soon got over it. And mine was only 8 hours 5 mins :D

Birth trauma counselling is a good thing to get into. I imagine its a good thing to be available to you if you had a traumatic birth.

    Debt-free and Proud!
    Hi ladies,

I asked over on the pregnancy thread but realised most of the women there won't have actually given birth yet. Doh!

Any experiences of the Borders General in Melrose? Am due to travel up tomorrow to stay with inlaws and will stay until this baby comes (various reasons I won't go into) but it's by no means local as I live near Leeds.

    Any info muchly appreciated.
