Cue the rain starting... I've just ordered Rhys some red BabyBanz on (free) same day dispatch for the oh-so-sunny Bank Holiday *rolleyes*
Glam, how much were the foam tiles? We need some if we're ever going to let Rhys out into the gardenOH is supposed to be clearing it this weekend.. weather permitting
£9.97 - they were the ones choppy linked to earlier but they had the in store.

Jenny - I am afraid I don't remember whether you intend to work or not but it might be a consideration in your decision. My friends little girl uses signing at her nursery but mum and dad didn't learn it - they went through a rough patch where LO was signing for things but mum and dad didn't understand and LO got very upset. Cue mum and dad on a crash course to learn the basics!!
Tias point about signs being to supplement words, not replace them, is important IMHO...there is some research currently being undertaken about whether signing can slow down speech development because of a reliance on the signs (only research, no conclusions that I have heard as yet) so doing both is important.
All the signing classes around here are free? Have you tried your local SureStart centre?please listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120 -
Poor Lexi
I hope her tushie gets better. Molly has a nasty patch of angry red right at the front, and it looks so sore but I'm afraid to put cream inside the folds IYKWIM. I've been putting small amounts of medicated cream and giving her loads of nudey butt time.
My Mam used to smear loads of sudocream on Charlotte and it didn't seem to do any harm. I used to get her back and her poor foof looked like a cream bun
Had a good day bargain wise. I wanted some Body Shop shea body butter for my holidays as it's fab on skin that has been in the sun. It's £12 a tub so I've been desperately waiting for it to go on promotion, and it's just gone on a 2 for £15 offer. The website also has free delivery if you spend £15.
However if you add 3 body butters, it prices them all at £7.50. Then I noticed a free gift if you spend £25 and I found a papaya body butter for £5 in the sale. The free gift is a grapefruit body scrub. Then I found a 20% off voucher BODYSHOP20.
So I'm getting the 4 body butters and the body scrub delivered for £22 and I'm getting £3.30 back through Quidco :money:
Then when I was out, I went into Boots as I wanted a No 7 mascara and some hand cream. I noticed they had a £5 off No 7 offer if you spent £5, so I was browsing the hand cream and noticed a free gift if you spend £6 on Sanctury.
Bought 2 Sanctury hand creams at £3.99 each and got a free large bottle of face wash worth £5 something, and also got my £5 off No 7 voucher.
Then went to the No 7 counter to spend it, and noticed a free gift if you spend £22. I bought two mascara's at £12 each, got the £5 off and a box with a couple of eye shadows, an eye pencil, a small mascara, a small pot of eye cream and a small tube of Protect and Perfect serum :money:Here I go again on my own....0 -

Elle that is very fab news about Rhys.
Have decided that I am going to go get Alex and try and get into the HV drop in between 4 and 4.30pm. His reflux is a nightmare. He is now on SMA staydown formula, with 2 sachets of gaviscon and he is still throwing up.
Have been trying to work out if he is Lactose intolerant (OH is) or if the gaviscon is just not strong enough. Have app with docs on 12 May, but want to talk to someone about it sooner. He is screaming out in the night when lied down, so thats what is making me think it may be the acid that's hurting him. (Shrugs dunno)
Not asking for medical advise, just my random thoughts.
DS3 had reflux and lactose intolerance.. I didn't think that much vomit could come out of one small baby!!!
He was constantly windy so his tummy was rock hard and bloated.. gas from the bacteria in the gut being unable to digest the milk.. If he was laid flat this gas would bubble up into his throat with the acid and choke him.. we ended up in A&E with him when he was blue on one occasion..
Do you have the cot tilted to he isn't flat? Mine slept in the car seat, it was the only place he was not sick constantly or choking on his stomach contents.
He outgrew the reflux at about 20 months.. by which time he had associated eating/drinking with chronic tummy ache and acid burning so avoided this by not eating.. ever.. he was on puree'd slop in a beaker with gaviscon and allsorts until he was almost 4.. his lactose intolerance has improved but is still triggered by odd things.. yoghurts being the worst.
As well as the bloated gassy tummy his poo was just liquid.. and often frothy or mucusy.. definitely something to watch out for.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

My grandad went in for his hip replacement today after it was cancelled before - little minx didn't tell me so I wouldn't worry! Dad rang me earlier. Just rang the hospital and he's out of surgery and pain free :TA very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea
