    Caz

When I had a quick mooch on the Gardens website it said £35-45? Or are you bringing little one? Anyway, there is a WHSmiths, Boots and poss a Marks in the station itself which shoudl sell milk. If not, there is a Tesco express on Market St and an Aldi but not sure what time they shut. Also a few news agents if you turn right out of the hotel instead of left. I'm sure the hotel will give/sell ya some just for a bottle though?

Will go look for opening times and come back while C (who finally awoke) eats her dinner xxx

ETA lol cross post re price

My five year old has been dry in the night for at least 6 months. For the last three weeks, he's been wet at least once per night. We limit his drinks to none after 4pm, he goes to bed around 6.30-7pm and we get him up to put him on the toilet at around 11.30, he normally goes for a wee.

Even doing this he is still wet once or sometimes twice a night. We've tried reward charts and bribery but nothing is working. We don't make a fuss when he's wet, just change him. Has anyone else had this with their kids? I don't get why he was dry for so long and now he's not.

Has something changed or is he worried about something? Sometimes they regress when events happen like a new baby or moving home, or they are worried about something like starting school. Might even be something really trivial, like someone has told him about the bogey man or something!

Had a good morning at boot camp and we are organising a girls night out in August. Looking forward to that as I rarely ever go out :o
Here I go again on my own....

thanks JAM! i booked the breakfast as i thought it would save the hassle of finding somewhere and having a Pram and bags etc! Erin will also eat her fair share so its not too bad, still £20 cheaper than last min and expedia. i think ill email them to ask about milk but cant see it being a problem as its not an unusal request!
    Im soooooo excited now :D:D:D:D

Elle, do you have any idea how much this costs? I've found that there is a private pool for hire in northern Manc (close to Heaton Park), but I can't get any idea of price and I don't want to phone up and look stupid!

:hello: from 2-teeth Andrew to 2-teeth Rhys :D

It's a totally bargainous £6.50 for all three of us! The pool is owned by a local family who rent it out to friends of friends for £2.50 per adult and £1.50 per child, per hour.

I was expecting something more like £30p/hr but that's a rather random figure I'd made up in my head!

Hurrah for teeth :D How is weaning going now?

So I don't know what to do. Alfie is being grumpy but I think it's cos he's bored. I have had him on his play mat and then in his cot while I did some cleaning any tidying. Not really sure what to do with him. How do all you ladies manage who are on their own with their babies all day long?! On a practical level though, what do you actually "do" with a 5 month old baby? :o

ETA that is a "hmmm, what shall I do next?" rather than a "Oh my god, what on earth do I do?!!" type question. Just read it back and thought it looked like I was panicking

Tigs -which pool are you looking at?

The Ivy Bank Swim School, in Prestwich. It's come up a few times when I've been looking at pools in the area.

Lots of throwing up and down in the air and singing silly songs. I struggle with the same - keeping him entertained day in and day out - as we don't go to a lot of groups and stuff and I can't afford things like swimming or classes very often. Right now he LOVES to b turned upside down. Also, prop him up in a corner of the sofa with a bunch of toys immediately in front of him...this way he can play sitting up (put pillows around him in case he topples over, which he will).

We rotate...so when he gets bored of one thing, we move on to the next - and so on. Usually by the time I've gone through all my tricks to keep him entertained, it's naptime :p.
