    Morning

Just working from home today as my car wheel is getting fixed. It's an alloy and some beading or something has gone and the tyre keeps going flat. Needs sorting as I'm sick of having to go to the garage and blowing it back up again.

Have a good day all xx
Here I go again on my own....

Hugs Keely - that's a dreadful situation to be in! :( You shouldn't be scared to go home? Although Beenies situation is absolutely crap and not a good example, have you tried to complain?

Fabby anniversary to celebrate! And how fast has that year gone!

    Whit wooo! :p

Now if everyone doesn't mind, please stop posting so I have some chance of catching up.

We've done nothing but complain for a year, on going problem. Which is why I am so fed up and drained now.

At least I know once she's over this bit and he can do the crawling, the pulling himself up / standing / walking holding hands bit will be smooth sailing - since he's been doing it since January! :p
:rotfl: Alice was walking holding hands for three months before she crawled. I did think she might not crawl because she liked the walking so much but she didn't have the balance to walk on her own until much later.

Guardian article about the claim that home birth is riskier for babies but safer for mothers.

Very much a fearmongering piece, but tucked away near the bottom:

a recent study in Scotland had shown that any difference in outcomes for babies disappeared if women considered at high risk of complications during pregnancy and delivery were taken out of the equation. Screening to pick up such women was important, he said, and so were arrangements to get a women to hospital if something went wrong during a home birth. "Mothers should not be alarmed as long as there is a transfer mechanism if there is a difficulty,"

I'm finding it rather irresponsible, again.

Anyway, reminder for the morning mummies - anyone Liverpool-ish free on Monday for baby related shenanigans?

Off to the park this morning then into work for the dreaded meeting!

8:30-6 here. Putting him down awake in his cot at night seems to be making all the difference, but it could just be coincidence of course. Whatever it is, I feel more refreshed than I have in months.

I am uber jealous of all your meets next week!

Beenie sorry to hear your meeting didnt go well yesterday but glad Susan was a help. I cant beleive how rude they continue to be.

Off to the soft play with Rose this morning. She's into so much mischief at the moment and the word no just doesnt seem to be understood at the moment. Its exhausting as we cant have 2 mins at the moment. We're so glad for a sit come nap time.

Your meet sounds so exciting. It sounds as tho there will be a fair few of you going!!

Going to try to catch up now x

Glad you had a good sleep GISI. Good luck with your meeting.
Also, I meant to comment on your thoughts about your birth. Not really got much to say, just that I hope you find the answers you are looking for. And you know that there is no such thing as a "normal" birth, so I don't need to tell you that it's just bad wording by some people!

SB - I am having a look at the My City deals site and have registered. I never paid any attention before. Not sure when we will find time to go out for dinner though! We have vouchers for a Japanese restaurant, so might book that for next week.

3 - Whereabouts do you mean by South West Scotland? I am near Glasgow, but Tia is more southernly than me.
