.. Elle- how did you get into the BF peer counselling? I'm thinking I might like to do it.

My friend is a peer supporter and she talked me into it and put my name down for the next training course. The idea here was to have peer supporters in each SureStart centre who would attend the BFing groups each week as a friendly face and someone to approach for help (though I'm based at the unit, not a SS centre).

Do you go to a BFing group similar to that now? Would probably be worth an ask there for the contact details of the person organising it (we have a specific midwife here who mostly does BFing workshops / supporter training / education / local awareness and just a few shifts on the maternity wards a month), or maybe a call to the maternity unit near you.

Not sure if our area does it the same as everywhere else, iyswim :oKrystal, how is yours organised? :)

ETA: Have been doing some Googl'ing... Is it called Bosom Pals in Southampton?

Thanks Elle. I will ask around some NCT folk too.

I only go to NCT boobie group, but could ask my HV next time I go to clinic as she is lovely.

We have a stud wall and door hole yay! No door fitted yet, there was a minor problem with the wrong width wood being cut that had to be sorted by a trip to B&Q.

    Its all looking better.

GISI, have you had your meeting with your boss yet? :)
  • I've had a read back, but was watching Midsommer Murders at the same time. (might be in trouble with dh - couldn't talk to him on the phone as I was missing it ;) )

Yay for new skills, teeth and healthy babies and OHs

Boo hiss for poorly family members and silly relatives. And an especially big boo hiss to housing officers and neighbours in general.
