Aww Amanda, I had DD1 off school Monday because she was sick Sunday... No fun at all!! Is she the same daughter that had the headache? Make sure you keep her well hydrated while she's ill... Hope she feels better soon!!

Bruno, You are very welcome, something to keep you both occupied in the ungodly hours of the mornings ;)

Incidentally, I wouldn't see it as that 1 occasion messing up his sleep pattern, they can quite often have random early nights but recover from them for the next night... It might be more a case of the fever and lack of appetite are making him feel rotten / hungry and causing the early wakings... Is he still going down at the normal time? It's probably a phase ;)

I don't want to tell you my news now...

But seeing as I was up at 4ish multiple times last week I think it's OK for me to say...

Caitlyn went to bed at 7:30 last night (not straight to sleep because Aimee was fannying about...) and didn't wake up until 6:50am!!! :D:D:D

And then she rang the police while I made breakfast... That was slightly embarrassing...

Congratulations on sleep epiphany :p long may it last...!

E has called 999 a couple of times, my Blackberry will let emergency calls go through even when locked.... I hope they were very understanding!

E's wild schedule may not be solely because of our one dodgy day; but no, he is generally off his pattern - when he's had naps they've been much earlier, and his hid bedtime has been maybe an hour earlier. It's a bit difficult to push him to a later bedtime when he's sickly and obviously desperately needing sleep :/ but tonight will be trying very hard to, 5am starts cannot continue! And he seems less sick this morning.

The lady was fine, said it happens and keep the handset away from her in future...

Do you keep E topped up with calpol / ibuprophen when he's got a temp or do you wait for the effects to wear off before the next dose? I've found keeping it topped up makes for a more normal / happy child than the crash and burn effects of medication wearing off... Might make him a touch easier to keep up later... Glad he seems less ill today though :)

Oh dear, poor E! I hope he improves soon for both your sakes. Finn has been waking up between 5:15 - 5:30 pretty much all month, Bruno, so can feel your pain a little bit. I think ours is just hopefully the summer sun, so i'm resigned that it may continue for a while.

We were also up and down a zillion times last night until i finally gave in and fed him an hr early. Sigh!

Looks like a hot one - annoyed that it was cool yesterday morning when dh was off as really wanted to go swimming! Think i may get our 99p paddling pool out in the garden this afternoon. :)

Well done Caitlyn :) Must be so much easier for you Krystal, I bet you were completely knackered from being up so early every day.

Good night here again. When I went to check on Alfie before I went to sleep last night (cos he cried before he went to sleep, only for 5 mins and I didn't go in to him) he'd turned round 180 degrees in the cot! Never done that before.

Shower now before I have to go out.

Grrrrrggg. Since we screwed up E's bedtime last Friday and let him go down 2 hours early his sleep has got and worse and worse. He is also sick, real fever yesterday and the day before and eaten very little, meaning that it's hard to be firm with him... yesterday he got up at 5am, had booby for a bit and dozed, then got up for the day at 5.40. Was similar on Sunday.
I know Krystal's already said it but I imagine it's the illness rather than the early night messing up the sleep. With Alice disturbed sleep is usually the first sign of illness. Also, when Alice is ill and not eating/drinking so much, I find that home made ice lollies are very effective at getting stuff into her. All they are is home made smoothie frozen in lolly moulds but she loves them. (And she refuses to drink smoothies.)

It's quite a bit cooler here Aless... We're off swimming today though, there's a toddler session at a local pool...

SJ, the turning in the cot is just the start of it ;) Glad you had a good night and he settled quickly :) I've been getting by with help from Hubby and napping where I can....

Becles hope charlotte is ok, jasmine banged her face on a table today, she was fine but the first thing i always do is check their teeth:o it scares me how clumsy they are!!

Josh had a scare with his teeth. He was about 18 months before he got any teeth at all, and then when the front two came through, he fell face first onto a marble fireplace hearth and the teeth vanished! Took him to the dentist as I thought they had snapped off, but the dentist said the fall had actually pushed them back up into his gums! We had to wait a few weeks and they grew back down again. Weird!

becs i was going to say with your inch loss from boot camp i thought id check mine since ive lost no weight ... ive lost an inch off my waist and hips so instead of being 34/28/36 im not 34/27/35 :D x

    Yay - well done :j

Hope Bruno's E and Amanda's daughter both feel better soon xx

Off to work this morning and going to drain the paddling pool and refill it when I get back. Charlotte always manages to fill it full of mud, sand and grass.

Have a good day all xx
Here I go again on my own....

    Morning,

Well done to Caitlyn for letting mummy get some much needed sleep! It must be so difficult with the early wakenings when you are pregnant Krystal. Hope this is the start of a new pattern!

Poor E, hope he feels better soon. My first instinct is to think that it would be illness causing an upset to his sleeping habits, but you know your baby best Bruno. How is the reducing BFing going?

Holly has been awake between 6 - 6.30am all this week. I don't want that to be a new waking time! I can leave her for a while to blether to herself though before fetching her, but I am awake by then. She did seem impressed by the new wallpaper when I brought her through though! Art deco flours are definitely her thing as she likes the dining room paper too (which I think Tara has in her house if I remember from a photo!). She did sleep 8.30 - 6.30 without any wakings through the night, so still decent if only I would go to bed earlier.

SJ - Holly was a brilliant sleeper up until about 6 or 7 months. She never had night feeds or anything from a few weeks old. I always knew it was too good to last so be prepared, and if it goes downhill, just be grateful and console yourself that you had it good, for longer than a lot of people! She's really not too bad though most nights.
