SJ - thanks meltdown averted it seemed that night was the worse of it, its still not perfect and am really feeling the lack of sleep when am up doing the night feeds. But am pretty sure alot of this is down to the weather, our room is constantly 28*.

DK - sorry I think I totally forgot to respond to your post, I cant do Tuesday as I have postnatal group, wednesday is out too as its baby massage plus I have dentist in the morning. What other day is good for you?

Am another one in favour of tumble drying towels, tho to be more MSE I have been line drying while weather is nice, also saves making our tiny house too warm!

MILs am lucky with as mine is lovely and not interfering at all. Tho she did make a comment the other day about T wont have to ask if she wants a chocolate biscuit she can just help her self  in all fairness tho I think this stems from the fact that when she was a mummy she couldnt afford things like that for her boys, besides its miles off and we'll cross that bridge when we get there.

Aless - I feel for you hun I still have my mum but she isnt local and I find that hard enough ((huggles)). My best friend is currently 14 weeks pg and lost her mum to cancer two years ago, she didnt even see her get married I feel so rotten for her as Id hate that, makes me v gratefull.

mfd - typical man not engaging brain before mouth! Dont listen to him.

Sami - great news on the money front :D

Well went to Sainsburys today to make the most of their 1/2 price baby toiletries and wipes, stocked up on a few thing and picked up a paddling pool for T using the left over Euros her Nana gave her. It has a UV shade and looks like a frog but we need to take it to Nanas to use as we have no garden! Also treated my self to two tops which I really liked, tho on getting home and trying them on I dont like them :( Am desperate for a couple of nice tops that wont cost the earth but most importantly are comfy for summer and dont show of my awful mummy tummy.

Anyhoo sorry if I missed anyone out, this muggyness is playing havoc with the grey matter lol.

    Evenin all.

Firstly, huge congrats to Mel :T Tea is beautiful and yes, you look much better than I did so soon after birth! xxx

I need some reassurance please folks. My old boss has called and asked how much salary I would need for me to consider covering for one of our tech's maternity leave. When I work it all out, I will be paying my SIL 40% of my wages for her to have the privilage (sp) of looking after my beautiful girl.

My SIL is fab but I am so jealous that she will spend more time with C (and so will Daddy cos of his shifts) than I will. It'll only be a short term thing (Boss is hoping to keep me on but I am hoping to get pg during this spell of work (Oct for 6-9 months)) but it is eating me up just thinking about it.

Does everyone else feel this jealousy? I don't feel guilty, just very jealous! Could send C to nursery/childminder but the outcome is still the same :o. Please tell me I am normal....

Also, co-sleepers with mobile babies - how do you ensure baby doesn't move/crawl when half awake and fall off the bed????

Sorry for long post. Hope to be here for any replies as long as C doesn't wake.

    Hugs to all xxx

:T:TGood news Sami. And you've reminded me I need to post my form.

When are you off to Edinburgh?

:jFor teeth SJ. We are still toothless at 7 months.
we're going up on monday and seeing my sis this weekend too so i'll not be on here much if at all for a while
Come on just post a link then we all dont have to go looking;)

Sami Is it the pre school you are going to look at for Chris? We went to look round one yesterday for Roo ( although I already knew I wanted her to go there) and they rang today to say they could offer her 3 afternoons and 1 morning from January - its just about full as i had asked for mornings.

DD1 has finished her last exam and is getting ready for her prom tomorrow night - her dress is gorgeous, false tan is done, shes having nails, hair, makeup and eyelash extensions tomorrow then that should be it!!
I'm looking at day nurseries, he'll only be going for his free 15hrs over 3days. I was surprised that they all have spaces but I'm yet to find out which sessions have space in :oS hopefully they'll have something to suit, I really don't want him going everyday because I'd rather plan things on free days opposed to having him miss it if I want to go for a day out
The very best is sometimes what nature gives us for free.

Hi JAM :) Part of me doesn't want to go back to work in January as I'll be at work and DH will be home with Alfie every day. I actually think I'd feel better if he was at a childminder's :o Although if that were ever on the cards, maybe I'd feel the same way about that too.

Jam, I used to have the cot wedged up against the side of the bed when Aimee was a baby... For Caitlyn I was a bit more lax and just put my long feather pillow on the floor at the side of the bed lol... She fell out a couple of times but never hurt herself... And she learnt where the edge was pretty quickly...

Aimee never fell out of bed on her side, the only time she fell out of my bed was when I wasn't in it one night, I think she was just rolling towards where I should have been and ended up dropping off the edge... But she was about 2 1/2 then...

Thankyou whoever mentioned Tesco clothing sale the other day... I ordered Caitlyn a swimsuit in this size and the next size up, a couple of shirts for DH and a cardi for me... Added a pack of school socks for Aimee (£1.50, entitled me to free delivery saving me £3.95) and found a 30% off code... Came to just over £16... They emailed today to say they had to cancel the socks, but they still didn't charge me delivery, result! :D
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Engaged! But this is worse! :rotfl:

JAM, I very much understand. I would desperately love not to go back to work and will be deeply jealous of whoever looks after my baby :(:(:(.

Thanks SJ (ETA and others who posted as I typed!).

I think I wouldn't feel so bad if she was with someone else but SIL would be more flexible I think. When I had C, I always said I wanted her in nursery and not with SIL at all but, with OH doing shifts, it would be silly to pay for FT nursery and only use it part time (if that makes sense). It wouldn't be worth me working if I did that. I know everyone says it when thinking about going back to work but it's just sooo HARD!!
