Jam, I used to have the cot wedged up against the side of the bed when Aimee was a baby... For Caitlyn I was a bit more lax and just put my long feather pillow on the floor at the side of the bed lol... She fell out a couple of times but never hurt herself... And she learnt where the edge was pretty quickly...
Aimee never fell out of bed on her side, the only time she fell out of my bed was when I wasn't in it one night, I think she was just rolling towards where I should have been and ended up dropping off the edge... But she was about 2 1/2 then...
Thankyou whoever mentioned Tesco clothing sale the other day... I ordered Caitlyn a swimsuit in this size and the next size up, a couple of shirts for DH and a cardi for me... Added a pack of school socks for Aimee (£1.50, entitled me to free delivery saving me £3.95) and found a 30% off code... Came to just over £16... They emailed today to say they had to cancel the socks, but they still didn't charge me delivery, result!

Engaged! But this is worse! :rotfl:
JAM, I very much understand. I would desperately love not to go back to work and will be deeply jealous of whoever looks after my baby

Thanks SJ (ETA and others who posted as I typed!).
I think I wouldn't feel so bad if she was with someone else but SIL would be more flexible I think. When I had C, I always said I wanted her in nursery and not with SIL at all but, with OH doing shifts, it would be silly to pay for FT nursery and only use it part time (if that makes sense). It wouldn't be worth me working if I did that. I know everyone says it when thinking about going back to work but it's just sooo HARD!!My baby girl :kisses3: September 09 :heartsmil0 -
Does everyone else feel this jealousy? I don't feel guilty, just very jealous! Could send C to nursery/childminder but the outcome is still the same
. Please tell me I am normal....
Yes, yes, yes...but then you get days where baby cries because you are leaving and lights up when you come back and you know that no matter how much fun they have when you are not around you are still their only mummy and mummy is numero uno
And to be perfectly honest you cherish the time that you do spend with them (I get to spend say 2.5 hours a day with Benjamin) and enjoy every second rather than worry about other stuff or be busy with other stuff - we play, chat and cuddle for our 2.5 hours a day now. Quality time

Thanks Krystal
I have the cot up against the bed now but I woke at 3.30 this morning and C had worked her way onto our bed and had her head down at my feet, her feet at my knees and another 6 inches and she'd have been off the end. I had to move her and it woke her up! Perhaps the pillows on the floor trick may be employed tonight. lol
Will have to bite the bullet soon and get her back into her cot. Her sleeping is getting a bit better and I would hope that another month or so and she will be going to sleep without a boob in her mouth (she turns aways now, wriggles and then drops off) and sleeping for longer I think for the past three nights she has not woken between midnight and 5.
Not sure if the Ibuprofen for her teeth is affecting this though? It's stopping her waking up screaming at least!
xxx
ETA MFD, when I leave her at the mo, when I come home/pick her up she doesn't seem to give a damn that I'm back! lmao. I'm sure that will change though as she gets bigger (crosses fingers)
Off to bed now, OH up at 5. Night all, will catch up tomorrow. I don't post often but thanks for being here when I need a different POV xxxMy baby girl :kisses3: September 09 :heartsmil0 -

MFD - could it be a loose filling or something?
Jam - I am back to work in about 7 weeks (and still haven't done much about a childminder yet)! I am dreading it. I hope it will be fine once I am back, but I love being with Holly every minute of the day, and I will be jealous of CM, MIL and DH when they have her on days I am working. However, I am not so insanely jealous that I would consider giving up work as I can't afford to.
I am loving being on my own tonight! DH is out. Usually after the football, he commandeers the television to play PS3. I can't remember the last time I watched anything! It must be weeks. I am watching some Kerry Katona thing on C4. Not intellectual viewing but something different!0 -
