Not much sleep chez Hammy again *sigh* . I can't wait for the paed appointment to come through.I hope all other Mummies had a good night, especially workinmummy and Alex

Absolutely shocking night here, BUT I actually fully anticipated it because we were out yesterday so he didn't get a proper afternoon nap at all, so all night he practically didn't sleep for being so overtired :o. But at least this time I have a reason for it, so I shall not dwell and just try and make today better so tonight will be!

Mmmmm, starving for breakfast but not inspired by porridge :p.

    Morning

    Happy Birthday Dylan.

Hope V gets sorted out at the doctors.

Sorry you had a bad night Aless. Was up here as Charlotte fell out of bed and took ages to settle afterwards.

Anti-D - I'm O-neg and when I had the boys, I just got a big needle in my bum muscle soon after birth. It really hurt and I couldn't sit on that cheek for the rest of the day :o With Charlotte I had injections in my arm and after birth, and they were not too bad. I was also told if you have something like a bad fall or a car accident, you need anti-D in case any blood has transferred.

Got some jobs to do this morning. Josh has to stay off school as they don't allow them back for 48 hours if they have been sick in school, but he seems fine now. James seems ok, and is desperate to go in as they're all going to the secondary school for the day today.

Have a good day all xx
Here I go again on my own....

No vaccine is 100% effective so there are always going to be some people who aren't immune even after being vaccinated. (Alice was vaccinated against Whooping Cough and still has it.) I know the MMR is only 60% for mumps after one vaccination but don't know rubella. (Mumps is the lowest.)

When V had the MMR, I asked the Dr. because L has only ever had one dose.
The Drs. figures were 95-97% of people are protected after one dose of the MMR vaccine. The second dose is given to catch those 3-5%.

ETA: I managed to get an appointment for my bumpy, rashy, grumpy baby at 9.30. :D

    Happy 1st Birthday Dylan!! :bdaycake:

And so pleased you don't need to go for scan. xx

Hope Vi gets on ok at the docs. Looks like a nasty rash. If is is measles symptoms caused by MMR, does that mean it won't last long and won't be full blown measles?

I had a decent sleep last night. Holly slept from 8.45pm - 6.30am (longest she has gone in AGES!!), then DH took her into the other room so I could get another hour. I am so glad she doesn't need night time feeds!!!
We are still doing controlled crying (of a fashion) and she only lasted 5 mins last night. Poor thing probably thinks I don't love her. I was in tears - it's so hard. She was saying mum/mama all day yesterday, but it is so much more pronounced when she is crying. It breaks my heart. :(

Becles glad the boys are better today

I'm starving too. Going to go find something once Alfie has finished his brekkie :)

Aww Fitz sorry it was so hard but 20 minutes down to 5 minutes is really good! I know you don't need my reassurance but FWIW I think you are doing really well :)

Good luck at the dr's V

Aww Fitz don't be upset :( It's better you nip it in the bud and get her back to normal, cos it'd only get harder. I know even 5 mins feels like a lifetime when they're crying but she's going to sleep after so try and think of it as her last little energy burst before sleep :D

Gyppo's are still living on the back  You should see their cars, they are worth more than this whole street. (not that i was curtain twitching )

Better get ready for BF group

    Thanks SJ and Beenie.

I had toast & jam for breakfast. Just didn't fancy cereal today although it's probably better for my diet! I get so bored of cereal.

Beenie - enjoy your group, and be brave! We are off to Baby Sensory today so going to put H down for a nap just and get ready.

Have a nice day everyone. x

    is L having a 2nd one?
I had the 2nd one just before getting pg with Ed because I was one of the group that got missed when they changed the recommendations.
I wish I had gone with my instinct and not had it, I'm sure in my case it was probably pointless seeing as before I had the first MMR I'd already had Mumps and Rubella :p

I'm totally paranoid, I think :o This morning a girl turned up on my doorstep fresh off the train and asked to use my loo and was almost in tears saying she didn't feel well, I let her use it but now I'm scared it was some kind of ploy to check out my house for burglars or something :o am I being paranoid? why did I open the door - gaaahhh
