Morning All ,
MSD - Great to see you posting, glad you're feeling better
Happy Birthday Stef
Ladygrim - still thinking of you
N9eav - thought I might be a bit wooly this morning after a couple of cheeky vinos last night but am surprisingly okyou need flat coca-cola mate, always sorts me out when I've got a hangover
Happy St. George's day all!!!!! Someone remind me why again this isn't a bank holiday? Mind you, if it were it'd blatantly be raining so mustn't grumble I suppose
Even better news folks, due to some extreme negotiation (for this read "harassment":rotfl:) with BA, we've managed to get my sister on a flight on the 30th of April meaning she will be home on the 1st of May!! She's delighted bless her, so she will actually enjoy the last of her holiday now.
OS today, need to plan some picnic food as DH and I are going out tomorrow. Not sure where, but the weather is set to be lovely so I'm sure it will involve a field of some sort where we can have a picnic! Tea tonight is pollack with chorizo in a tomato sauce, served with jacket potatoes and lambs lettuce.
Have a lovely St. George's Day everyone, hugs to all xxSometimes that mountain you've been climbing is just a grain of sand,
What you've been out there searching for forever is in your hands0 -
Morning All
Off to get my hair cut todayit's been six months () since I last had it done - where on earth did that time go?? anyway when my hair gets in the way off fastening my bra I know its well passed overdue for a cut!
Did shopping online last night from Mr A which coincidentally I'd booked to arrive while at the hairdressers (;)) so DH can put it away for me and I finally got a meal plan sorted.
Decided to go for the all-you-can-eat-buffet at the chinese tomorrow and I'm thinking dinner rather than lunch...although lunch is cheaper and as I'm paying (not sure how that happened!) lunch is sounding more attractive!
Need to go and get sorted as my apointment is for 10am
Have a good dayClimbing back on the OS wagon after a short vacation to Recklessness

Afternoon all........(((((((((((((((((((HUGS))))))))))))))))) if you need one.....hope all went well yesterday Ladygrim, glad you are feeling better MSD........
I came on earlier but the site was down, so I had to go and do housework:eek::eek::eek:
OH had his first 'go' with the new outside tap.........turned the tap on, no water out of the end of the hose, so what did he do?????? yup......looked at the hose end pressed the handle and got a face full of water:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:sorry I just could not stop laughing......he said I was cruel, I should have told him not to press the handle whilst examining the rose on the end of the hose!!! tough.....he had to change most of his clothes.....bet he won't do that again.:D:D
Friday clean finished, I have been trying the furniture in different posistions as when DD1 comes we are going to have to have the table full out. I have come to the conclusion that we have too much furniture!! something has got to go!! but what??? I have a feeling its going to be the high chair we had in the bedroom unless I can find somewhere else for it.
We are off into Haddington after lunch new wills to sign and pay the bill....more expense and to aldi for fruit and veg.
Its rather cloudy and the wind is cool, but thankfully coming from the other direction, so the back of the house is a bit warmer than of late.
OH has been in the garden all morning, I put pots of various shrubs out where I wanted them planted and he has done that, the solar fountain is out, but the large pot is squew wiff........I think we are going to have to put it on bricks, trouble is its full of water and pebbles so not exactly light. I will have to have a think about it, mind you it could go on the slab at the side, not sure if thats not where the rodding point for the cess pit is.......we will see.
Time to get some lunch, I called oh in ages ago better go and sort him out........Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.0 -
Jackieg....just saw your post from yesterday re large birthweight babies:D. It does seem as if a lot of ASD kids are large at birth. Noah is a member of the Autism Research centre in Oxford and recently took part in research for Prof Baron Cohen about head circumference at birth....apparently ASD babies have large heads....Noah was off the centile chart for his(Dont I know it:eek::o). He also has the theory it is due to large amounts of testosterone and autism is therefore an example of the "extreme male brain". Will wait to see if Bitsys boy was a whopper:rotfl:.
I watched that programme on ASD last night but it depressed me:( I don`t want my son to live in sheltered housing:(. I want him to live with someone who loves him:o.
not much OS here yet...been out for coffee with a friend so just about to do a quick sweep around house before getting Noah:p.
Have good days all0 -

off to do some gardening0 -
LOL NPM, ny OH thinks it's just another one of my madcap ideas. DH1 was too he was 11lb4oz and DS2 was 11lb31/2oz but DS! has the biggest head! We laugh about big heads running in OH's side of the family, but I just find the whole thing about their sizes fascinating. DS2 is "normal" though, no sign of Aspergers or anything else. I didn't see the programme, and I agree with you, the idea of Sheltered Accomodation is very sad, DS1 is lucky that his Asperger's is very mild, and not immediately obvious to others, as because his IQ is so high he manages day-to-day life in his own way, but I worry too for his future, as his social skills are not great, I'm just hoping I can "train" him! Yay for social stories! You only want them to be happy don't you? It's what is inside your head that matters in life - not what's outside your windowEvery worthwhile accomplishment, big or little, has its stages of drudgery and triumph; a beginning, a struggle and a victory. - Ghandi0

Well not sure if I will buck the trend but DS was only 8lbs 3oz and his head circumference was 35.5cm so only on 75th centile. Mind you he still looks like he hsd a big head :rotfl:
Quick post from me. Been playing in garden with sand and water, lovely in the sunshineHad a nice beef dinner with roasties and veg with the kids so something like a sandwich for tea. H is off out tonight so just me and the kids. Feel like baking something nice to have after tea and fancy a snuggle on the sofa with the kids awwwwww.
Not much OS going on todayNeed to sort a load of washing but there isn't much to do. Will crack on with house work at some point over the weekend.
We are selling our trailer and frame tent - so far 15 people watching the trailer and 9 watching the tent. Only one bid on each item at the mo so hope all these other people get a move on before auction endsWe shall put the tent up tomorrow morning and check it's all OK, it was put down dry but it hasn't seen light of day for 2 years so need to just double check all is OK.
