I understand what your saying but i do have an area in my garden for them to mess but cant help it if they go in my neighbours garden instead, i am a responsible owner and am trying my best to find a solution to this problem.
I lived in london a few years ago where you was forever hopping over dog crap on the streets and i think that is disgusting that people are stand at the other end of a lead while there animal does it and doesnt care & to be honest its the eldery people that are the worst, i have commented to many people that they need to pick up after there dog but peoples attitude is well everyone else does it, well that aint my attitude, i want to stop this problem as much as i wanted to stop it when it was happening to my garden. I will go and get some squeezy lemon juice today and hopefully that will deter them...

Woke up early this morning, went into the back garden and was treated to a lovely big pile of cat !!!!!!!

Why do people have cats, when they are out all the time and they only see them when they feed them? What's the bloody point?

Teach them to !!!!!! in a litter tray in your homes, or in your gardens !!!!!!

Don't know whose cat this was because it's none of my close neighbours, but if I see one in the garden, it will be getting the soaking of its life

Could also have been a fox if you have them in your area

Doubt it, unless the fox was the same size as a cat.

You can sort of gauge what animal has left a certain size poo.

  • nobody here on this thread has killed or injured a cat/animal...but yes I agree with you that it is sick.

you cant possibly know that, just because nobody says "i batter very unwanted animal i see with a cricket bat" doesnt mean they dont do it...

at least 2 of us on this thread have had a cherished family pet murdered by a cat hater who took this poo subject too far... and im syre they ALL started off squirting, throwing things and getting irate about it just like some posters on here are doing etc
its not such a rare occurance.

Can anyone answer the question I asked earlier?

Why do some people have cats and let them out all day and night and only see them at feeding time? Maybe not even then if they have a catflap.

What is the point of owning something you never or hardly see???

And why is it wrong for dogs to foul in places, but it's OK for a cat to?

    Serious questions btw!

Both of my cats are here with me now, and have been since i got up this morning, they will go upstairs asleep soon for a few hours then be up and around with my family for the evening, they tend to go out around 7ish & return home around 1ish.The reason i got the cat flap is if they were already out when i left the house in the morning and i was going to be out all day & because i was staying up till 1am waiting for them to come home and its was tiring... So i hope i have answered your question as i see my cats all the time, maybe you not having a cat gives you the opinion that there out all day & night roaming the streets. And i never once said it was ok for my cats to mess in peoples garden hence why i made this thread...

cant speak for everyone else but my cat is in near enough all day,
he is out all night, comes in when we all get up around 7.30 has his breakfast then falls asleep somewhere comfy (although he is currently half hanging off the arm of the sofa... hes going to fall off there any minute :))
he might pad down here for a scratch and a play when my DD gets in from school,
he will sit in the garden with me when im watering my veg, he may nip off for a while but is soon back and then hes generally in the front room til we go to bed... then we kick him out for the night

so we see him pretty much all day, and lots of people own hamsters, you hardly see them during the day but that doesnt stop anyone buying one...

and im sorry but the dog poo comparison isnt fair, dogs dont go roaming around on thier own for hours at a time, looking after themselves...
they have an owner at the other end of the lead to pick up any doings, if it was the norm to only let cats out on a lead then we would all be armed with pooper scoopers too!
