Not sure that's the case in the real world, there's quite a few IQ owners on the Toyota Owners Club forum complaining about fuel consumption.
IQ is a 4 seater, but very small back sears....
You get people complaining about the fuel consumption on any vehicle tbh, if its not getting the exact 65.7 or whatever is advertised.
I only get 34mpg in my Auris, though its advertised at 46 or whatever....
Its all to do with the way you drive, where you drive, when you drive, tyre pressures, type of fuel etc...
Theres that many variables it could be anything...
I wouldnt worry too much about the difference of 57.6mpg and 62.8mpg. If thats a big issue for you, you should probably look at electric vehicles when they are evenually released, and make do for now...0 -

I've driven an IQ and sat in the back of one, it's more of a 3+1, and the boot is virtually non-existant, put a laptop bag in and it's full. It's aimed as being a premium product it's more expensive than the Aygo/C1/107 and isn't really a cheap and cheerfull car in the way the Aygo/C1/107 are and anyway it's more expensive than Scooter100's 6.5-7k budget so this is all pretty academic.0 -
We've had an Aygo for 3.5 years. Mainly used for short trips, but it returns 45mpg. 60+ is easy on a longer run. When we bought it it was the cheapest of the three for the spec we wanted - also bought through drivethedeal and it was painless.
Water pump was replaced in the first year - problem with early models, new design now fitted.
Water leak via the rear passenger door about a year ago - new seals fitted and no further problems.
Continental tyres wear quickly, but ours does low mileage so not really an issue.
The recall only affected the automatics.
The French versions are more expensive to service at main dealers.0 -
But you don't HAVE to get them serviced at a main dealer. As long as they are VAT registered and use original parts your warranty etc is covered0

I have to renew my aygo's road tax. I've heard they changed it from £35 to £20??? Is it correct?0
-
The cost of the road fund license will be shown if you pay online. Otherwise have you received the renewal form? That will show the cost. I can't tell you if it has reduced yet becasue we don't need to renew till July and December0

I've got an Aygo blue, purely went for the toyota as it was cheaper than the c1 & 107.
The bluetooth and aircon are a bonus!
I paid £7000 for mine brand new a year ago. I took it in for its first service recently (£120 at toyota dealer) and was offered £7500 from them to buy it back from me. So they are seeming to be holding their value very well!
On the bad side, I drive to work 3 days a week only 50 miles round trip but i find it so boring and slow to drive, if its windy a big gust can really blow you sideways. On the other hand its so nippy driving round town and so easy to park.
Ours is only a second car intended to just pick my son up from school but i'm going to swap it for something faster and more 'sturdy' now i'm driving to work too!0 -
Not yet. Mine is due on 30 May. When to expect the renewal form?0

You bought your aygo very cheap. Is it auto or manual? I've paid £7780 for a brand new semi auto. Original price was £8090.0 -
I used to have an Aygo +(ellectric windows) 3dr. I covered about 55000 miles over two and a half years, full service history, had a couple of sets of tyres, they were rotated about at services at my request. Only main problem I had with it was that I had a squeak/squeal coming from the front brakes, I don't know how many times they skimmed the brakes etc, eventually about a month before I was getting rid it got sorted, lol, sometimes it was worse than others.
Overall I got about 62mpg, doing a 70 mile round trip to work, I also used it a few times going down to London from nr Glasgow, Liverpool a few times, Manchester for a gig, and several places around Scotland, as well as roughly fortnightly trips to the football. I could get four in no problem, didn't have belts for a fifth, only restriction was sitting behind me driving, cos i'm a big lump of a fella.
I chose the Aygo because of the reliability and service from Toyota, plus I didn't like the sales guy at Citroen and didn't like the Pug dealership!
Only you can decide though. Thanks to all the competition posters.0
