Citroen C1, Peugeot 107, Toyota Aygo

Thinking of buying one of the above due to their perceived excellent fuel economy.
The cheapest price I have found so far is the 107 through drivethedeal for £6648.

Anyone seen this cheaper anywhere for a straight cash price

Anyone who has one of the above, what is your opinion of the car?
Tia

All made in the same factory by the same workers, I believe.

Do they use French or Japanese quality standards, I wonder?

Imagine french electrics with toyota drive by wire accelerator pedals ;)

But in general the build quality on even these budget cars is pretty good. Main problems used to be seals to stop water ingress, but I think they improved this in the last year or two.

My wife has a C1 we looked at all 3 and chose the C1 as the insurance was £60 cheaper than 107 and £90 cheaper than Aygo . Its very good on fuel gets around 50 mpg around town . We have started to use it more at weekends now rather than my C-Max due to fuel prices keep going up , There is enough room for childs buggy in boot and has good access to get our son in the back. For my wife we would get another . They are very basic inside but less to go wrong.

Hopefully The Toyota Production System , but nowadays most car producers have adopted similar production/quality processes to Toyota .

chose aygo, go to dealer and try to negotiate a good price. I've bought brand new aygo, got only £300 off, they do not give you big discounts..

    French Standards... Hence its cheap...

I have lets say inside information with Toyota... and this car is a bag of... well you know what....

Rusts easily, chews tyres and brakes...

Go for the IQ / Yaris.... better build quality, and will last...

Up until Toyota's woes, I would have said try to get the Aygo, even thought they are the same and all built together Toyota has (had!?) a better perception of quality than the French brands and would be likely to get a better resale price.

The better resale value may more than cover the initial extra cost if the Aygo is only a little dearer, just something to consider.

I would still go for the Aygo because by the time you want to sell it I think Toyota will have put all the problems long behind it and got back to normal.

I had an Aygo for nearly 2 years, nice little car, very cheap to run with low insurance and road tax. I went for the Aygo in preferrence to the others mainly because I'd rather deal with a Toyota dealer rather than a Peugeot/Citroen one.

Go for a 5 door as the seat folding mechanism in the 3 door can be a pain. The boot in the Aygo is more difficult to access than in the 107/C1 due to the shape of the rear glass hatch (the one on the C1/107 is deeper).

The factory where they are made is run by Toyota, but the parts I gather are sourced by Peugeot Citroen.

I did nearly 20k in my one, no problems at all with the car very pleased with it, but found it a bit small, hence I traded it in for a Yaris.

On here dealers shift some car they at prices they don't want to put up in public in the showroom....

Thanks for the suggestion but the C1/107/Aygo clones look at least %10 better on fuel economy which is my primary reason for this choice of car.
