animmo, Banks will only refund money when there is a suspected case of fraud.
Any fraudulent transaction reported to the bank must also be reported to the police. The bank will normally send you forms to fill out and a cover letter that makes it clear that if they don't get the completed forms back (with a crime ref no from the police) within a couple of weeks they assume the transaction was not fraud and take back any money that was initially refunded.
If you were not at home and did not get that letter, that could explain why the bank took their money back.0 -
Earlier you said debit card. Now you're saying DD (as in direct debit). The payments were supposed to come out through WorldPay (which is debit card isn't it?), not DD
Were both payments (the one refunded and the one subsequently taken again) taken by the same method? And what method was it?0 -
Lokolo, you have the patience of a saint. Well done.0
