Can anyone tell me the current Post Office branch exchange rate for buying Euros for amounts under £500? The board at my local Post Office is out-of-order.

The time I went past it wasn't open. If I go now at lunchtime the queue is usually around 30 minutes long.
So phone them as I first suggested!
I'm not sure anyone else can help you as (certainly as far as our local PO are concerned) they do seem flexible with their rate.
The PO website states that rates are different than those in store but our PO regularly matches the online rate whereas others have said that this is not the case with their own local PO.0 -

So on that basis you're saying your suggestion of phoning them is of no use. The PO website gives one 0845 number for enquiries. The phone numbers for branches are not disclosed. If the rates are different for different branches as you say then someone in a call centre possibly 200 miles away or in another country won't be able to tell me what the rate is in my nearest branch.0 -

My local post office is in the telephone directory under the name (location) post office so if I want to know the rate on any particular day then I simply call them.0
