Bitsy I remember when my two were that age  They are testing how far they can go .....you have to show them who is boss or they will run rings round you forever. I used to just grab their hand and make them walk and if they wanted to have a hissy fit let them - once they realise that you will not give in that is half the battle won.

I used the delay timer on my breadmaker for the first time last night, so when I got up this morning there was a fresh loaf waiting for me and the smell was divine. I am starting to think its the best kitchen gadget ive ever bought.Low Carb High Fat is the way forward I lost 80 lbs
Since first using Martins I have saved thousands0 -
Morning all! Sunny again here, but chilly in the wind. Not to worry, my washing is very nearly dry already! Have had a quick trip into town to get a few bits (and send belated birthday greetings to my niece as didn't do it yesterday). Am tutoring again this afternoon - will be quite glad when that comes to an end now, especially as currently I'm being taxed at 40% on this!!! Must contact tax office as that really can't be correct.
Well, I went to look at the babylock overlocker....and it's sitting on my dining table at the moment! Sadly, no time to play today as I also need to tidy tje conservatory as the blinds are being cleaned/serviced this afternoon. And then there's the essay I need to do before Friday morning, and... oh dear, why do I leave things so late???
Hope you all have a good day today, and do take care of yourselves.Resolution:

Mine always goes on at night as i`m on economy7 electricity so its cheaper to use it then.
As you say there`s nothing like waking up to the smell of freshly baked bread
I love my breadmaker!
SDPlanning on starting the GC again soon0 -
Hugs to LadyGrim.
ButterflyBrain – I’m a Whovian too! David will always be my doctor, but I’m liking the new series very much. I agree with you re the new daleks. The old ones were much scarier.
Congratulations to Hilstep – enjoy being a Grandma!
Jc2703 – hooray! Thank goodness for the sensible judge.
Feeling grumpy today due to number of people who forgot my birthday yesterday! Silly really, but I do feel a bit put out – I sent well over 50 hand-made cards last year and was rewarded with 6. Hmph. Anyway, must grow up and stop complaining.
Did lots of baking yesterday as it’s traditional to take cakes into the office when somebody has a birthday! Made a Chocolate Sponge, Coffee & Walnut Sponge, and flapjack. Puppy-Dog is off at Daycare today so should get some bits done. Really do need to do some ironing. Not convinced that’ll happen though! Need to sort out my PC – tried to run a defrag yesterday but it’s so full it can’t even do that! Major weeding required, methinks… Meeting a friend for dinner tonight so looking forward to having a good natter with her. Breakfast today was cereal, lunch LO quiche with HM Pickled Runner Beans (VERY yum!), Dinner will be whatever OH “makes” for himself. I suspect he will be getting a takeaway, which is fine by me as will mean less washing up!
Hugs to all,

Will do it with GF in summer, although she is not a train fan as she has to commute 4 hours a day on one of them, so it is like a busmans holiday for her, however I work with trains everyday and still love it!!
We did the Mallaig route many years ago, it was fantastic, I spent most of the journey hanging out the window with the camera. I love Plockton too, although iuts a while since I was there.
My first husband was a train fanatic, everywhere we went even on holidat had to be where there was some form of train travel.....thank god he did not work on the railway!!!!Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.0 -
afternoon everyone,
Not done much OS here today apart from put the washing on the maiden! Neice (shes 22) had emergency operation last night as her appendix ruptured whilst she at work - just had message to say the her intestines where burnt during operation so she off to surgery again. Poor thing is petrified of needles and had to have the staff pin her down and no drip till she asleep! She does make things hard!
Have planned a rota for visits as my sister works so she cant do tonight, and my mum is very upset, my dad died 12 weeks ago and this has tipped her over the edge.
Anyone know if you can take food to the hospital when you visit? would ask sis, but she in work and not answering phone.
Oh well, its cold here and very windy.
Happy birthday to LAMEWOLF
take care everyone xxMum, wife and dinnerlady!0 -
