Worth a punt. Didn't work out. Was unlikely that it would.

Life goes on. Albeit life with a slightly smaller telly.

Probably won't lose too much sleep over it.
  • The best thing is just got a email from Pixmania with a offer for a tv with 30% off but just sent a email to ask if i order will i get a email with ( deemed vile ) on it i may go on too there Pixmania reviews site and give them a Consumer review

Friends they cant make 2 mistake for one item clearly say %85 OFF LIMITED TIME OFFER £199 if they just advertised with £199 then you can say by mistake.they did this only for bad publicity otherwise nothing else.already too many buyers reported this to consumer direct , watchdog ,and trading & standards ,

There will be a column in their database for RRP and one for their selling price. The % discount will be worked out automatically using these two figures. It only takes one error in selling price to cause the 85% discount to appear. Since the TV is now on at £1099 I think someone just missed out the 0.

Once again we see MSErs who KNEW that this was a mistake now demanding their RIGHTS to get something for next to nothing.
Those of us who have been around here long enough know that all you will get is very angry and stressed, and nothing else.
Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose. In this case you lost.
Just accept that this is one of the bargains you didn't get, and move on. Your life will be so much more enjoyable.

Seems to me they're just doing it for a bit of fun tbh, and if it results in just one company abandoning paypal then i'm all for it!

  • Still don't know why people are moaning though.

There seems to be very few posts saying "not fair, I want my tv"

but now every other post says " move on, get over it, get a life, losers etc".

I ordered last night but haven't really posted anything as I had nothing new to add, I am though interested in what other purchasers think/are going to do.
If you didn't buy a tv - not sure what your doing here.
If you did and and have "got over it and moved on" - great do it.
People posting the same " move on, get over it, get a life, losers etc". adds nothing to the thread and is starting to feel like spam.

  • I bought one last night - DH was over the moon but now is totally gutted even though I warned him there was a 1% chance of receiving it!
Reading through this thread it is an interesting read, how people are reacting differently to the cancelling of the orders.
Being rude to other money savers will not help at all though.

As they say you win some, you lose some.
Managed to take advantage of the BHS glitch and tesco shampoo glitch earlier this year so still happy about that - my hair is so shiny!

Would people please stop saying "I bought one"

    You did not buy anything.

You tried to take advantage of an obvious error and it didn't go your way.

Those that have made payment by Paypal or Card & have since been refunded are quite right to be a little annoyed if they want the TV.

This is one of the rare occasions where the consumer should win & the retailer should lose out.

    Payment is the contract
