We regret to inform you that we have had to cancel your order number
    xxxxxxxx.

For credit card payments no funds will be captured. If you paid by
Paypal, a full refund is currently being processed.

As you will have noticed the price of the product sold was a typing
error: the price was below the real value of the item and in no way
    reflective of the real value.

Legally, the order is not valid as the price is deemed vile.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused. Please note
the error has been corrected and you can now place a new order for the
same item. This will be dealt with immediately.

    Best Regards,

I paid via Paypal where do i stand...........

I too got my cancellation e-mail. I decided to give Consumer Direct a call to ask for advice on what could be done, the man laughed at the "price is vile" :rotfl: Which Pixmania had quoted!

He did say though that there is little chance of winning in small claims court as even if the contract was formed the courts are likely to agree that a TV at £200 was an error :(
  • Not at all. Look at the thread for the Outnet £1 designer sale. Dresses etc worth £500+ for £1. I was one of the lucky ones who got a dress (RRP£1080) for £1. That was a clearance sale, as is the TV.
  • Cancelled too; glad I took my own advice & paid by CC.

Still holding out hope that they'll fail to cancel the quidco cashback =)

Order is still saying validated on pixmania, no email from them to say it's cancelled but have just had an email from paypal to say that my payment has been refunded. Oh well, at least they didn't have my money too long! Not as bad as the shambles with toysrus and the hamster orders at Xmas!

At this stage we are just seeking potential Claimants. If the matter proceeds we will write to each claimant individually in accordance with the SRA Rules. Hope that helps.

I take it you haven't read the rules that you agreed to when signing up for MSE, you'll find them here...
