Outstanding property

Makes me smile.

Mirror in lounge - what is it reflecting?
Carpet in bathroom. Tres chic.

And also it's Two/Four Bedrooms...

C'mon lets have a giggle at some amusing estate agent speak: This EA "is
delighted to present arguably one of the most outstanding properties in this sought after location. The beautifully presented and fastidiously maintained semi detached bungalow."

Maybe my eyes are playing tricks on me.... but I can't see a mirror in the lounge... just some strange looking framed wallpaper...
I love giving home made gifts, which one of my children would you like? :D :A :D

I can't find a mirror in the lounge, either..... just 3 matching prints (or something). Don't see any evidence that it isn't fastidiously maintained, and it looks well looked-after, so can't really argue with this bit of the blurb.

I see it has a 'care port', though.....

I'm loving the "sought after location" blurb in the first one which contrasts monumentally with the fact that the EAs are steadfastly refusing to name the area and instead calling it merely "Manchester".

The EAs obviously don't want to state that it is in Blackley, so they've called it Manchester and are obviously hoping people don't notice that it is in Blackley. So probably not that "sought after" really.

Also loving the "A truly mezmerised array of plant and shrub life adding colour and contrass". Also like the "care port". :)

For the bungalow all I can see is an absolute load of redecorating work. That living room looks like a wallpaper sample book!

The king living in Wembley… well he gets a king size bed, but then there’s a dearth of photos considering the blurb mentions a lot of other rooms.

Not trying very haart are they? :)

I don't think that poppysarah was criticising the bungalow itself - just the Estate Agent's description of it. :)

The description of the bungalow ranges from wonderful superlatives that would grace Buckingham Palace to cringing, awful spelling mistakes. A terrible effort from the EA in my opinion.

"The property boasts garden to three sides access via double wrough iron gated to manicured lawned with flower beds, glagged walkway which leads to driveway and carport access to property. The the rear there is a walkway which leads to detached brick constructed garage. The rear is also home to the wonful neat lawn with water feature. A truly mezmerised array of plant and shrub life adding colour and contrass. The end of the garden gives access to a fruit orchard".

eton - i don't think she was implying there's something wrong with the property, however, there's plenty of properties just like this one around. i think she was just amused by the description.
The sellers have to sell their houses cheaper because most buyers are too silly to see past decorations

i don't think this is fair. i like to think that i do see past decorations and am happy to redecorate, however, the decor of the property can affect how you feel when viewing.
we went to see a bungalow and we could see from the pictures that it was a proper old person's house and we went to see it anyway and would have happily re-decorated if we were to purchase it.
however, the place absolutely reeked - i'm not saying it was the people's fault but i couldn't get out of there fast enough, i was nearly sick. it also turned out to be in need of considerable 'tlc'...
we're buying the house we felt at home at. it's got wooden floors everywhere and we'll have to do something about that before we move in as one of my dogs cannot walk on wooden or laminate flooring. i've viewed fully carpeted houses, yet i'm buying one that will need sorting - because it felt like home.

Oh, I hate that too. This property was formally a coaching house and is in a sort after area. Shudder.
