    how's the garden getting along??
Garden is looking pretty good... I might send you photos soon...

The shed is up, with guttering on one side and one water butt in. I've just watered the lawn. Tomorrow I have to fill the gaps between the strips of turf and will do some planting (the stuff I've already got which was heeled in at the front and is now in pots). I also need to cut the edge of the turf for the curves in the beds, and my dad is going to put posts up in front of the shed next time he's down (we're going to use ropes to creat a pergola. The space behind the shed on the hard standing is going to be very useful. The old shed and base have been removed, so I need to think what to do up there. As the bit where the base was is in a pretty bad state, I might use decking to create an area I can use for a rotary washing line, morning sitting area (it gets the sun from the east) and possibly put a permanent BBQ.

My dad was pretty exhausted by the time he left! :D

I've got one climbing rose to go in by the patio (rosa mutablilis) so am looking for ideas for roses and clematis for by the patio and the shed.

Ugh. All 5 days ALL DONE today.

Plus washed all lock n lock tubs, relocated kitty food into cupboard (39 tins)
Demoulderised washing machine, including both hidden layers inside rubber seal.
Emptied stuff out of food cupboard that I can't see myself using before it runs out of date.
Descaled kettle because I had forgotten to change the water filter.
Check bank balance :D:D:D:D:D:D:D What happened there? Must have cut down on food shopping - here's hoping it shows on the figure soon.
Argued with cat that was determined to sleep on DD's clean washing pile - every time I moved him off and shifted things, he immediately jumped on the next bit  so ended up putting her stuff away for her.

Only thing left to do is to put last bedspread away after washing and drying. Unfortunately, two mogs (the well behaved ones) are currently snoring on it, having not really had a chance to snooze due to my activities today. I might let them get away with it just this once...
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.

    - it is blooming freezing and piddling down with rain - if its like this tomorrow there is no way i am sitting out!!!:rotfl:

Rain? What's that? We're so fickle down here in the south. We've have wall to wall sunshine with a bit of volcanic dust haze in the sky and fallout out on the car now and then for the last 2 weeks.

NN and I were talking this evening about maybe having to water the gardens over the weekend because they are so dry.

Oh, and the house martins and swifts seem to have arrived today.... summer must be on its way.

Have decluttered another 1000 words or so and a nice rump steak for dinner (I decided to treat myself!).

Am off to bed shortly - I'm on a guided walk guider (if that makes sense!) training course tomorrow morning..
I am the leading lady in the movie of my life

    .
apparently the clear skies may be caused by the volcanic ash... particulate overdoses dry up the clouds (there's been some research done at Tel Aviv university). I'm going to be gardening at the weekend, so although the dry weather will mean lots of watering, I'm quite pleased it's going to be nice for digging and planting!

Suppose I should go to sleep now...
