Evening all
Been out at a fashion show at the school. It was fun to catch up with some old friends.
Hand washed DS3's sweatshirt for tomorrow - I only want to cut the sleeve off of one hence the washing.
LadyL thinking of you hun
Mumof5 I'll be there with you virtually tomorrow. It will not be as bad as you think my love and afterwards a small weight will be lifted from you as you beloved Nan leaves this world and takes some of the pain you are feeling away.
Triker - thanks for sharing x
Cosmomo sorry it's late but hope you have had a great birthday
Off to bed now, hoping for a better night and to get a bit of flying done tomorrow. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -

Sounds like you have had a busy dayHope tube site is starting to improve and that you have a good day tomorrow.
The fascias are finished and look great. I reckon they must be flyboys though as they tidied everything up each day before they left! Unfortunately they weren't finished in time for me to go down to Messy Church, I was just there in time to help pack up. Apparently it passed without incident but I had a text while I was out asking me to ring the friend who ran the session today so there may be more to tell
Saw Dear John at the flicks, it was good but marred by the giggling, chatty gaggle of girls behind us, the crick we got from the uncomfortable high backed seats and the sound of the film being played next door. Mental note made not to go there again
Right, it's the work thing in the morning for me, if you could all keep the chat to a dull roar then it won't take me too long to catch up later;):D

No I wasn't at the Autism one, the one I spoke at in London last month was the conference for the 'national' aiming high parent participation agenda, was some reps from the hull forum there......we have a FB group for regional aiming high parent reps (will invite you) but they are setting up a pilot for a national forum too. Every area is spending aiming high slightly different because different areas need different things, some have good services in some arees, somes static like the short breaks how much goes in but some isn't like how it's used (that is how we were away last week) You've probably met a few of the reps from here, they did your first conference
I couldn't get a brat sitter. You'll know Kathy too, nutter.....hehe titchy world. Health has been our biggest challenge, because of budget mainly ***grumps*** but we'll get there.
Actually going to have to miss meeting tomorrow, haven't been able to get to sleep yet and I'm not well enough. Will do my assignment instead if I can focus enough. One day I might be more organised...........

Thanks Lil-Me, your posts are really informative.:D
I'm supposed to be doing that MA in Autism but things have gone awry with people not passing any info on since I came back from sick....I see I need to be more proactive re my research but it annoys me that here, on our doorstep, is something so relevent and the Uni didn't even notify me.:( Ah well.
Toots, hope you have a lovely day tomorrow, **heal the wound site for Toots ** vibes heading over.xxx

Triker I wish I could help more, there was a conference in Hull on ASD and employment but I found out after it had been and gone (7th April). If you register with the local carers centre and contact a family they should be able to send you any info they have on local events with their news letters etc. Pigpen might be able to help you with the best providers of infomation about what is on near you as aiming high groups usually have stuff to do with information as it was a massive key issue for aiming high that getting information out needs to be improved. Amazes me in your line of work as 'ground force staff' you haven't heard about it, we've held professional conference/info days here over the last 2 years to make sure every service provider has a chance to know what we're doing and we have people from each service (OT, physio, schools, social care, HVs, consultants, LEA etc) attending the conferences we hold twice a year but everywhere is dealing with this agenda so differently. As a 'agenda' from government it's coming to an end but we're lucky here that we've now got the children's trust signed up to a joint strategy with us (first one ever) to continue PP across the services and extend it here, so proud of that. http://www.awares.org/ that's a good site, they do a yearly online conference too.One day I might be more organised...........
