You could try the RM postage calculator

  • Off to Berkshire next weekend. Right by the OKA shop at sunningdale, can anyone recommend anything good round there?

What did you have in mind - I'm only maybe 5 miles away from there! PM anything you might be interested in and I'll get you some info!

    Moam

Back from a longish day at church (annual meeting time) - now to detip the house whilst awaiting slightly drier weather so I can get back outside.....

WM, DW & TD first, then coffee, then a fast hoover through.

    Ready steady go woman...
Although no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.... life is a WIP.

    Hi all,

I've been and ironed 12 shirts:eek: for OH. he had the cheek to complain i wasn't putting them on the hangers properly. He's lucky i didn't shove the hanger somewhere the sun doesn't shine.:D So everytime i finished one i called him to put it on the hanger as he's so much better than me.:p We're not having the BBQ now as it's been raining on and off all day and it's cold. I knew something would happen, it always does.

Cycled to town and did the bits I needed to. Just having a cuppa and then as the sun has returned I shall put out wash No2 and have an hour of gardening.

    Hi ladies

Hope you're all well. I have been flying this week, but I've not been posting or keeping up with the thread at all! Been so busy... Anyway, I've got a bit of time today, so trying to get all my rooms up to level 3... So far, it looks like this:

Monday - Sitting Room and Hallway
    Level One
[STRIKE]Open the windows and turn on some music!
    Vacuum floors and sofas!
Declutter the chairs, floor and fireplace[/STRIKE]
    Level Two
[STRIKE]Vacuum under any furniture you can.. please don't injure yourselves!
Sort out coats, shoes and bags
Clean any electricals.. don't be frazzling yourselves though![/STRIKE]
    Level Three
    [STRIKE]Check those smoke alarms!
Wipe sofas, paintwork and dusty places
HHC in the hallway.. vacuum floors/stairs, wipe paintwork, fling those broken umbrellas and junk mail! [/STRIKE] Must admit, it was all looking perfect after 5 minutes, but I did spring clean it last week!:D

    Extras
    1. [STRIKE]Catch up on some calls/emails[/STRIKE]
    2. Binbag dance... grab a bag fill it and fling it!
    3. Clean fires/behind radiators
    4. Wipe the windows in these areas
Tuesday ~ Master bedroom and landing!
    Level One
    [STRIKE]Declutter the floor!!
Strip bedding, wash and replace.. air the duvet while it is naked![/STRIKE]
    Level Two
[STRIKE]Tidy up a chest of drawers.. fling anything that is unloved.
    Vacuum floors![/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Clear a box of stuff.. put it in its proper homes or get rid![/STRIKE] I no longer have any boxes of 'stuff'! But I did properly clean out my hand bag and tidy stuff away
    Level Three
[STRIKE]Empty bins and do a mad 5 minutes filling the binbag!
Polish any mirrors or glass.. inc. dirty windows![/STRIKE] I don't have any mirrors/glass in these rooms, and have sparkly windows. But, I did dust and polish everywhere instead.
[STRIKE]Wash any nets/curtains that are in need![/STRIKE] Did these last week

    Extras
    1. [STRIKE]15 minutes filing/shredding[/STRIKE]
    2. Catch up with an old friend/relative you've not spoken to in a while
    3. [STRIKE]Tidy up the linen cupboard.. throw away anything unused/past its best[/STRIKE]
    4. HH-something..
So, up to level 3 in two rooms. My kitchen and bathroom were looking good, but have deteriorated, so I'm going to finish them off soon. My OH has been a victim of this dratted volcano, so has been stuck in Hong Kong for almost 2 weeks now (he was supposed to be home last Saturday). Although I'm missing him lots, the flat is a lot easier to keep clean, and there's no moaning when I get out the vacuum cleaner! He'll be home on Tuesday!

Will update later when I've finished my other rooms.
