I am in Derry too...but as you have already sent it and it's in their system I don't think they would give it to me!

My stepfather recently changed his passport to an Irish one when it was due to renewal, because he is 65 and if you are over 65 an Irish passport is FREE!!!!! We ended up paying £125 for our daughters because they said the photos weren't right - it slipped through the system and was only returned a week before she was going husky sledding for the dogs trust and we had no option but to fast track it!
DJWW - cos we won't let it!

le00na1 - the tracker tells me that the passport has been posted.

I notice this new message from http://www.dfa.ie/home/index.aspx?id=83334

The Passport Service is now in a position to re-introduce a GUARANTEED turnaround time for passport applications. Applications submitted via the Passport Express service (Swiftpost in the Republic and NIPX in the North), available through local post offices, are now guaranteed to be processed within 22 working days.
This 22 working day guarantee will be kept under review and it is intended that this will reduce over the coming weeks. The new guarantee turnaround time will help re-establish trust in the operation of the Passport Service.

So hopefully yours will get here on time.:)

hey just looking to know when ppl used the express service did they keep an eye on the tracking service about it? they have my childs form since the 1st of june and since then just showing registered and it needs to go through a whole pile of stages before they can send it back to you and im flying away with her on the 17th of july so starting to freak out a bit as not long to go now HELP!!!!! :j

I sent some via the Post Office on May 19th, and they have just on Thursday changed to "printed" status - given that you sent yours a bit over a week after mine were sent, I'd guess you should see a change to the status in the next 7-10 days.
