I once went to a hairdressers and they cut my neck. - in two places  I wanted to run away with wet hair then ;)

Until about 1.5yrs ago I had not owned a hairdryer for years. I washed my hair then drove to work with the heaters on full blast :D

My hairdresser persuaded me to give them a go (when she stopped laughing) and I'm now a convert. I do let it dry naturally sometimes but think it is nicer when dried with a hairdryer.

Funny how we are all different!

If it rains, I often come in with wet hair.

Though at least it happens much more rarely now - having discovered the magic of the hat... :D

I don't have a hairdryer, or straighteners. Mainly cos I've got limited energy and much higher priorities, and I'd be useless at using them anyway. I always go for low maintenance cuts anyway, I can't be faffed with having to spend more than 30 seconds brushing it.

I would never go out with wet hair either BB - it must be a curly girl thing!

Bookworm and Katsu - your relationship sounds just like the one my daughter and I have. There has only ever been the two of us and we are the best of friends. We even work in the same office, and we live together as well!

I think it's lovely. There are 20 years between me and my Mum (she fell pregnant at 19 with me) and it was as if there are 50 years generationally speaking, we have never talked about anything, you name it, I can almost guarantee we haven't discussed it and never did. Strangely, my youngest sister and Mum are very close and there are 32 years between them but as my sister said, Mum has 'mellowed' over the years. She was always a 'you don't talk about that' and 'what would the neighbours say' kind of person.

So try to scandalise her. I think you'll probably find there is a bit of difference between how she is, and how you think she is.

My mother appears to be as conservative (with a small c) as they come. But scratch a bit deeper and things change. She was the original biker chick - with not only my Dad, but with hers too.

Wow tenmah, I think I would find that a bit too much sometimes, but well done to you.
