Good Morning All,
Thanks for all the friendly welcomes!
Just having five minutes before I get started for the day. Going to get DD up for work in a mo, she starts at 10 and then I am doing a shift at the local children's hospice till 2. Will have to get house sorted after that. Have been off for two weeks so shouldn't be too bad.
No sunshine here, but apparently it will improve so will put washing out anyway.
Enjoy your day everyone - will probably pop back later.0 -
Morning all...............(((((((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))))))) if you need one.
Not so bright in Scotland this morning, it should improve as the morning goes on.
Bread out for sarnie, cheese and tomato, yogurt for OH aple for me and a slice of cake, or may be a scone. The flask is filled.
OH is taking his BP 5 times a day, this morning it was the lowest it has been since he started on Thursday......whats that about then???
I was woken just after 6 what sounded like the bag of kindling falling over in the boot room, on reflection I think it was either a dog or bunnies on the slate path into the front garden..........
ooohhhh there is a siny yellow thing in the sky, just a slight burst and its gone..
Out all day.......see y'all later.Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.0 -
Morning all, hope you are all well this morning.
Bright, breezy and looks like showery up here today.
Just had a delish breakfast of two boiled eggs from a work mate that keeps hens, homemade bread cut into soldiers with real butter and a fresh brewed coffee, simple things..........:D
Floss, good info on not wiping car!! best I tell the DD not to write in the dust!

Jackie-0 - have a great holiday
Just an update on Pen-Pin she is in hospital and has been in and out these last few weeks. Her kidneys aren't working properly and she feels sick most of the time. The hospital has fitted a tube fed. They are hoping she will be back home next week. Thanks to her DH for letting us know. :grouphug:

Morning all
Another beautiful morning here on the Welsh coastno sign of the ash yet!
floss - thanks for a great excuse not to wash the car if the ash does come my way! :rotfl:
JackieO - have a fab trip
My hayfever seems to have kicked in with a vengeance (sp?)!I'm sneezing like mad and my eyes itch. it's blooming typical though because I will really struggle to be able to make a Dr's appt due to work commitments for next few weeks (and the fact that I haven't changed drs since moving so it's 40mins away, and they only open half days!), but the last 3 weeks, where I could have easily gone there I was fine!! Finger's crossed they are still on my repeat prescription so I can just order them and get my mum to pick them up.
I've just found out that a girl I was friendly with at school (I left 10yrs ago) is moving to the same flats as me. There are lots of different blocks here (about 400 flats in total). We have loosly kept in touch via facebook over the years. In some ways it would be nice to have someone I know nearby as I don't know my neighbours very well. But one of her close friends is now married to my abusive ex BF (we split 6 yrs ago, but were together 5yrs, he married her last yr) so I'm a bit wary of the possiblilty that at some point I may bump into him in the carpark if they visit her, which I really don't want to so. I've somehow managed to only see him once since the split and that's when we drove past each other, which is a miracle considering how small this town is, and that we have friends in common!
I'm off window shopping with the girls later and for a spot of lunch. I'll be parking in the local library car park so I'll get some books out too. I also need to bank the £300 from my giant piggy bank so think I'll take some of it with me today to pay in.
Breakfast will be fried eggs on toast, lunch out, dinner will be either veggie burgers in buns if I feel in the BBQ-esque mood, or fajitas. Both meals are freezer meals so little cooking involved.
Right I'm of to sit on the sunny balcony with a cuppa and my book
Have a fantastic Saturday all

Morning
So does having 2 sugars in green tea negate any health benefits? :rotfl:
Trying to drink more of the stuff but can't tolerate it unless it's sweet
Lovely gorgeous day here again in the MidlandsMy neice and nephew are coming over to play with their cousins this morning so it's nice to be able to get out into the garden again.
Have to pop to the supermarket some time today booooooo. I hate going at the weekend but have run out of milk and pretty much everything.
Would like to do some baking, I know some of you have mentioned choc buns so might have a nose on the web for a receipe. Made cinnamon ones again yesterday (they are my new addiction).
Tea tonight will be sausage pasta bake so nice and easy to cook.
Must get some beef out of the freezer for tomorrow's dinner I think.
Diva - hugs to you xx
JackieO - have a wonderful time in the Cotswolds, it's lovely there
Essex-girl - good news on your lorry.
Flutterby - crossing my fingers you don't bump into your ex any time soon.
On the subject of washing cars my dad drummed it into me not to wash ANY car unless you've wet it first as general muck etc still scratches the paint. One of the reasons why those people who do the hand car wash in my local Sainsbury's car park will never touch my wheels :rotfl: (not to mention the price starts at £5 so being a true tightwad why pay that much for something I can get [STRIKE]H [/STRIKE]myself to doI have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks

Good morning.
Lovely & sunny here today one line of washing is out and the next load has almost finished in the machine. I'm planning on doing some swishing & swiping on the bathroom & kitchen and sweeping the downstairs floors this morning. Hoping to get into the garden to enjoy the sun this afternoon. DH is out doing a Lions thing this morning & stewarding a football match at Bury this afternoon so the kids will have to help with any heavy lifting :T
Lunch is toasted sandwiches and tea tonight is quiche, new potatoes and coleslaw or help yourself for those who don't like quiche :rotfl:
Jackie O Have a fab holiday xxx

Stroppy Jock What a wonderful breakfast
Have a good day everyone & enjoy the sunshine xxxxx0 -
Morning all
Thank you Flutterby25 wasn't sure what I fancied for dinner but fajitas it is!
Got nothing done that I wanted done yesterday - typical! Felt a bit lousy with this cold which is [STRIKE]my excuse and i;m sticking to it[/STRIKE] probably why I couldn't get motivated.
Few MSing jobs to do today and a bit of a run out which will be nice if the weather stays dry. The budget might even stretch to lunch out somewhereI have a job pencilled in for tomorrow which I could do today and that would leave me tomorrow free.
DS2 has his trial starting on Monday so the fear is starting to creep in. Common sense tells me they can't convict him on the say so of a bias witness when the so called 'victim' told the police he wasn't giving a statememnt as he started it! but the way this has now dragged on for over four months and we have had at least six appearances in court nothing would suprise me. Its such a serious offence that he could be sent to prison. Which is absurd. But seemingly possible according to the barrister. Madness.
Anyway - off to keep busy and wake DH as he is still designated driverand give this daughter of mine a wash - not sure how she managed to get so filthy overnight!
Have a good day xClimbing back on the OS wagon after a short vacation to Recklessness

JC - hugs to you and your DS2. I too cannot believe that they are pushing ahead with this, especially with such flimsy evidence. I hope common sense prevails and your son is exonerated.
Forgot to mention hugs to Pen-pin. Sorry to hear she's in hospital. Lots of get well vibes for her xx
Oh and welcome to Camelot

Morning All,
Lazy start, still in my dressing gown. DD just arrived home looking like she is going to suffer after drinking Sambuca.
DH gone to B and Q for some soil. Definitely a garden day today as the sun is cracking the flags:D
DS3 not surfaced yet, also will have a hangover. They will learn eventually
Stroppyjock what is it about foglights. They make my DH incandescent with rage(there's a big word for Saturday morning) He rants and raves about people having fog lights on.
All sorted for tonights dinner party (ooh get me:rotfl:) salmon and soft cheese on brown toast, chicken and chorizo stew and rice and nigella's choc mousse and butter biscuits.
Might even have an apperatif in the garden.
Have a good day peeps.:)Started Self Managed DMP 10th May 2017.
