quite pleased too - as I did one load of washing earlier - and put it to dry on the line... Saving ironing and electricity - result!
The trousers I got for DS I will need to take back as they don't fit him properly - May see if I can get them from the school - as it is about the same price to be honest now he is adult sizes.... DD was made up with the leggings, fitted crop tops (she's growing up!!!) and 3 pairs of party tights (£15 of my credit voucher)Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Hi guys - well last night I went back to Mr As and swapped the 2 x school trousers for 1 x different school trousers, a top for DD for xmas, some party tights for DD for xmas and some more fitted crop tops. I also bought a load of stationary - some for xmas - and some which may get charged to my new company. I also got a few bits and bobs of groceries.... (yes really).... I also popped into Mr Ms and spent another £15 or so today while OH filled up on diesel. And we went to p1zza h*t for which I had a voucher - so we got 2 adult meals and 2 kids meals for less than £15 plus tip - not bad at all!
DD and I went to costa coffee in the afternoon yesterday and I forgot to ask for decaff - and so I spent about 3 hours last night decluttering my study and made a start on wrapping xmas pressies for DD and DS ( I cleared 3 collapsible crates, 2 washing baskets and threw a few bags full of rubbish away.
I also did loads of washing yesterday and today including putting a load out on the line to dry. I also built a fire for my fire pit but forgot that the same wind that blew my washing dry could well be blowing in my face so after a while OH and I abandoned our little fire. DD had a friend over to play after church (I did get there altho I was half an hour late!). DS had a long trip down south with Air Cadets so peaceful day!
DD has been bathed and her hair duly plaited in 4 braids so it is curly tomorrow and DS amazingly enough actually made it into the shower LOL. So feel did okay job today. We had the spag bol type sauce today that I had intended to make into cottage pie - but no-one wanted to peel spuds for me - so I had some with jacket spud and the others had some with pasta for tea... It was yummy!
Probably not surprising after all my recent activities I have been in more pain and have ended up taking more painkillers... including some 8s in cocodomol. I think tho that they have also contributed to me feeling "wired" so want to keep them to a minimum!! Anyway a productive weekendAchieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Hi guys woke up at 10.30 in pain - so immediately took a tablet... Went back to bed tho for another couple of hours... Think I need to scale back my activities a bit but you know what its like you look around the house and there is so much to do! I can't believe how quickly with kids a house can descend into chaos! And as I thought would happen - as soon as I start doing anything - OH stops doing that thing and seems to expect me to take it over so a bit frustrating! To be fair to OH tho - he worked late one night this week and yesterday had a kip for 2-3 hours but frustratingly he's not mowed the lawn for about 3 weeks and we are living next to the new Mr and Mrs Jones (not literally) and their front garden looks pristine and ours just looks a mess! So much so that I pruned some stuff in the front garden yesterday - but perhaps unsurprisingly paid for it in pain later...
I had intended to do an online shop to be delivered today but not happened - I think I need to still do this but preferably having checked what I actually have in my store cupboard and freezer first... Novel I know! LOL You would laugh if you could see how many toiletries of the same type I have because I chucked it in the trolley just in case I needed it.... I was tidying out my study and found about 5 lots of unused favourite deodrant on top of about another 5 floating round different rooms in the house LOL I bought a load of cleaning products a few weeks ago and then found a load of unused stuff in the cupboard under the stairs that had got hidden....
I've started wrapping xmas pressies for DD and as per every year - I am shocked at what I already have in the house I could give her... I think I am going to do xmas hampers for people again this year... It's simple and helps me use up my impulse spends!! I do need to buy some more cellophane tho but that's okay... I might give my parents and MIL some photos from my friends photoshoot - but on a durable backing like foamex or canvas.... Need to price it up... I'm not going to order the photos tho until I am back at work and have more income as there's no rush

SH - stop doing so much! Appearances don't matter so much (though I know where you're coming from) but it's not worth the extra pain, plus you might make it a longer lasting if you don't scale down. Oh well - I'm up and dressed sometimes that feels like a result in itself... I'm about to try and tackle the kitchen so it looks reasonable for the cleaner who is now coming at 8.30 tomorrow... Need to agree a better time for future weeks as that is rubbish. It is handy this week as I have friends coming over on thursday which was the only other time she had available.
Now need to get the house in a state where she can actually clean before she comes...Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Thanks Tirl - I agree I need to stop doing so much but honestly our house is embarrassing:o! The kids arrived home from school with DS saying him bringing her home wasn't going to work if she cried and tantrumed all the time and her saying he'd hit her. It boiled down to they had both accidentally hurt each other and she is a cry baby.:( I know she tantrums as she did it to me Friday. I suggested to DD that she adds a line to her reward chart about not tantrumming - Let's hope it works :cool:Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Hi guys well my cleaner is here again - (the second one I had) but I am still not happy - she just doesn't manage her time well - and hasn't done in 2.5 hours what the lady last week did in 2. She's not even done my lounge yet... I am getting really fed up...
I may ask the agency just for the lady who came last week - which would be 2 hours once a fortnight but at least she did a good job... This one today... I've pointed out bits she's missed and she's redone them but obviously if I was at work I would be unable to do that...
At the same time I feel guilty as this lady seems to really need the money but it's no good if it costs me more money for less work done....
On a positive note... At least it motivated DS to tidy his bedroom floor - so she has just hoovered in there. And it motivated me to do some tidying in our bedroom and strip the bed so at least that room should be better. Problem is when this lady goes she will want to know when she's coming back and I don't know what to say to her...Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

On the cleaner still... I am gutted:( - there is no attention to detail - there's a wadded up ball of cleaning wipe under my dining table, and still bits on my floor after she's so called mopped it - and dirty bits on my floor after mopping. She still hasn't done my lounge, she's still doing my ensuite - which as I say the other lady had done in less than 2 hours and she hasn't done my stairs yet...! The whole point of a cleaner is to reduce the workload and stress level but at the moment that's not working...!!
Even though I'm going thro an agency - and the whole point of doing that is to get someone that you are comfortable with I still feel awful about it.... but I think I will have to change to someone else - poss the one that came last week - as I'd rather have 2 hours once a fortnight done well that 3 hours every week not done well enoughAchieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Hi guys - she's just chatted for half an hour after the clean - and altho I'm friendly - I wanted to get on!! I think she assumed that cos I'm off sick I'm bored out my tree but I'm not....
She asked me if I had a metal scourer or something for my hob as she couldn't get the dirt off - I said "no I don't I just use cloths". A scourer would scratch my stainless steel hob to bits anyway which isn't the idea. She asked me how I got the stuff off like... I just sprayed on some Mr Muscle and it started to come off... I then put some hot water on to help get the rest off - and thought - I'm not here to clean she is - I think that its a joke!! What's the point of having a cleaner if she wants to ask me how to clean something !!! She did eventually go back and finish it...
She offered me a slot - I said I'd ring her and let her know.... Chicken I know but there we go.... She offered to go to the shop and get me some milk which was nice but you know my lounge needs hoovering she didn't do that while she chatted to me.
Oh well rant over!!! I did feel sorry for her... I gave her some plums out of my garden and 50p extra but I won't be having her back. I did tell OH and he was OK about it... So far not impressed at all!!
Like I say - as soon as poor DS comes home I will be asking him to hoover the lounge bless him!!Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Rant still not quite over.... The top of my toilet in my ensuite is dusty, I deliberately left a makeup spill on my shelf to see if she cleaned it - and there is blue eye shadow still there... I've just cleaned 3 big marks off the hall floor - I think she didn't do it as she didn't want to wreck her nails which she pays £25 every two weeks for... I also wasn't sure I would trust her with a key - she was telling me that on a private round that she gets an ironer to come round with and she does ironing for £5 per hour - I said that wasn't even minimum wage - and she said "I know" like it was a good thing.... She was telling me she could find decorators, gardeners for me etc and I'm thinking well not if they are at the same standard as you're cleaning. I felt sorry for her but the desperation factor just had me worried.
I'm going to ring the company and see if I can get the lady who came last week even if it is just once a fortnight as at least she did a good job. I would rather have someone every week but I am going back to work soon and am running out of time to test someone out in...OH suggested I use a different cleaning company to do the other half of the fortnight and see if they were any better...Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030
