So is fast4 168 hours per week!

I joined them on the 27th january and today they have cut me cos of using 66 hours in one week! i cant phone them cos there not open weekends apparently. Why do they cut me off after a week when they have no idea on my internet usage.

anyone know of any other cheap dial-up and i have a bt line

I am very happy with topletter.com and they charge £9.99
They cut you off after 4 hours but you just redial for the next 4 hours.
They provide unlimited usage, plus online technical support via a chat which is enormously helpful.

Fast 4 have a cut-off after 2 hours and then you re-dial. I find that if I leave the PC unattended for 10 mins. or so and you are not downloading, you get cut-off anyway. It has not been a problem for me and I am sure my uasge is in excess of 70 hours some weeks, but not very often!

  • I just phoned them up, they cannot reactivate my account and if i want their service again to resign up! hmmm....just over a week at £6.99 dont sound too good an investment.
They say its because when i get disconnected, i connect straight away, i should leave it 30 seconds. And also they think i leave it unattended because they dont reckon anyone can use the internet for 14 hours in one day, but its me and my husband that use it. They said its not letting customers dial in and have had record numbers of people cancelling their internet accounts. And this is because of me right. I said to him i wanted my money back as just over a week i havent got my full service, he said he cannot do that. He gave me an address to write to, but i dont think it'll do any good. Question is how do i get my money back, he said something about doing a chargeback, i use credit card and i dont phone them up or havent got access online to them, so how do i do it!
    I think fast4 are !!!!!! personally!
they think i have an automatic redialler...er.... yea i told them my finger it presses enter to reconnect. Im just a basic internet user with none of these fancy frilly programs

  • Can anyone help me cnstruct a letter to fast4 as i have no idea to write a proper letter, i tend to waffle on.

I'll check back later as i hate paying 4p a minute for the internet and cannot afford to resign up with any other company as what with fast4 and additions taking my money and not giving me the service/goods i have no money left on my card. that topletter says its 12.49 per month. Anyone know of another type of £6.99 unlimited isp i can maybe sign up with in the future.

This is the only thing that keeps me going, the internet and i cant use it.

You can get 1ppm payg with onetel and some others.

Having had fast4 customer services tell me that it is 'really just for for email' and knowing I do not use auto devices for connection, as well as shallow analysis of 'usage logs' I think it may be fast4 "in material breach"! Its not a one-way street. How to prove though?

ps do they want to push broadband!

You've had 60 hours use for £6.99. 699/3600 is approx 0.2p a min, not 4. Why do you think you deserve money back? They're claiming unattended usage, and as you've told us 14 hours a day, I'm tempted to believe it.

Try 18866 with a geographic access number, but don't expect any guarantees this will last either

    for info;

    fast4 Marketing asks about net4nowt.co.uk and ispreview.co.uk

fast4 is effectively a discount clearance outlet for V TWO ONE (v21.co.uk)

V TWO ONE has the collective enterprise server details
  • I do use the internet a lot, ie talk to people and things and as i stated i use it and my husband use it, we only have the one computer.
They were more specific that i lost my account because A: I used too much in one week (1 week and they reckon they know my internet patterns)
and B: i reconnected to quickly, i should of left it 30 seconds or more!

And yes i should of said that at this very moment im using tiscali pay 'n' go and i think thats 4p per minute during the day.

And yes i do think i deserve my money back after 1 weeks worth of internet and not getting the service i signed up with! it said 'unlimited'
I usually use the internet either in the day or late at night, i try not to use it around 6 - 10 as i find i couldnt connect.

with all these 1886 or wotever numbers, i havent a clue what you are on about, as i said im just a basic internet user.
