    Cheers di
Have to admit I was very worried when the ombudsman leaflet fell out of the envelope but soon cheered up upon reading :)

Who was it that does all the working outs on here?
Be nice to have an idea what should be what. :)

LOL, I know the feeling, you rush to open the letter as quickly as possibly, shaking......:D, then first go to the decision further on in the letter before reading the start of it first LOL.:D

For Lloyds Robbedofmymoney, he also checked mine that were all what he said, so hopefully he will be along soon to check yours for you, just post up the loan details, the dates, any rebates on settled ones etc.:j

Right here we go, not sure if anything else is required. Will try and offload to a spreadheet and chase up Robbedofmymoney

Looking at these agreements really angers me now. And to think I used to go in with a story of what I needed the money for worried I wouldnt be accepted, they really did see me coming.

  • are they giving you the 8% simple interest as well
I'm proud to say that the banks no longer take money from me after becoming debt free
  • please see comments by each loan,

i have added the 8% simple interest up to the end of June 2010

i have boken each loan into 2 parts, one for the premiums paid with interest added, then the 8% on this

then the difference left in ppi non rebated (excluding interest)on settlement plus 8%

    Initial £5000 @ 14.01 per anum over 55 months
    + PPI £1064.20
    Total Monthly £150.04
    PPI Monthly £26.33
    Paid 10 installments
    Rebated £653.73 for ppi

    premium refund 10 x £26.33 = £263.30 8% simple = £167
    ppi left over after rebate = £216, 8% simple = £129

    so refund for loan 1 = £263 + £167 + £216 + £129 = £775

    Loan 2

    13th Jan 2003: Settled 20th Sept 2003

    Initial £7150 @ 14.01 per anum over 60 months
    + PPI £1680.04
    Total Monthly £205.51
    PPI Monthly £39.10
    Paid 8 installments
    Rebated £1170.52 for ppi

    8 x £39.10 = £312.80, 8% simple = £180
    ppi left over after rebate = £285, 8% simple = £156

    total refund £312 + £180 + £285 + £156 = £933

    Loan 3

    19th Sept 2003: Settled 3rd Aug 2004

    Initial £11115.46 @ 14.01 per anum over 60 months
    + PPI £2114.88
    Total Monthly £258.71
    PPI Monthly £49.22
    Paid 10 installments
    Rebated £1389.26 for ppi

    premiums paid 10 x £49.22 = £492.20, 8% simple = £251
    ppi left over after rebate = £372, 8% simple = £176

    total refund £492 + £251 + £372 + £176 = £1291

    Loan 4

    3rd Aug 2004: Settled 25th March 2006

    Initial £16473.76 @ 11.33 per anum over 60 months
    + PPI £2923.20
    Total Monthly £360.98
    PPI Monthly £64.05
    Paid 19 installments
    Rebated £1252.91 for ppi

    premiums paid 19 x £64.05 = £1216.95, 8% simple = £503
    ppi left over after rebate = £745, 8% simple = £258

    total refund £1216 + £503 + £745 + 258 = £2,722

SO IN TOTAL A BIG FAT REFUND OF

    £775 + £933 + £1291 + £2722 = £5721

this is approximately what you should get based on the figures you have psoted

    cheers
