Xmas planner bought last week KP 😆

I don’t know how I fitted in working before I really don’t 😬 dh has work for me after the weekend but it doesn’t feel like proper work as I’m doing it at home, I miss everyone!

Some bad news this week as dd has lost her job ☹️ Not just a job to her but the job she’s been working towards for years. They have gone bust one week after they started househunting 😩  They are still buying but are looking at £300k instead of £400 which means a flat not a house now, they don’t want to wait any longer until she gets another job, such a shame.

Had my first proper haircut for a year and a half this week 😱 wow it looks better! I was putting it off for damage I caused Home bleaching to improve 🙄 new hairdresser said it’s fine and I could have highlights again, er no I’m enjoying not spending half a million pounds to do my roots every five weeks, I’ll stick with light brown thanks 😀

What a shame for your dd especially after all her hard work and dedication. Hopefully something else in her field will come up soon.

Thanks Cath and Mrs MP, hopefully she will find something else but she couldn’t have found a harder industry to try and work in during a pandemic!

Little bit of shopping done yesterday including a large yellow stickered junk food dinner  for dh and ds1 which ds1 hasn’t touched, hopefully I can persuade him to have it later 😆it’s pizz@ express pizzas and sides so posh yellow stickered stuff for us 😬 I need to set a grocery challenge as this month I ran out days ago and have been using my personal spending pot 😩 that’s due to going over on the boys’ birthdays, but with mainly three of us here right now it’s should be so low next month if I get my act together.

I need to think about smartening the hallway, landing and bathroom next, still not decided whether to claim for the massive leak and new ceiling but I need to make a decision as it’s been a while and nothing more has happened. We really need a new stair carpet due to the cat ripping it up badly,I’m not sure whether to attempt some kind of paint job on it, or go for a cheap carpet this time as the expensive one last time didn’t fare well. Apart from the excess on the insurance policy put by here is no budget as all our money now goes to either the mortgage or travelling pot as I’m fed up being sensible and want to have some fun 😆 Talking of which I’ve decided to drag some friends and possibly my kids to the car wash club in London later in the year, it’s retro music and a mix of ages so hopefully we won’t stand out as a bunch of pensioners, I think my midlife crisis may have begun 😂

Oh poor DD, really feel for her - and such rubbish timing too.

Car wash club sounds fun… (is that my midlife crisis starting?! I hope not!) not sure I’d be going yet though.

😆 roll on the midlife crisis I say! We won’t be going until later in the year if it feels a bit safer for sure though.

Poor old cat is not good today, wobbly back legs and seems to be behaving strangely so she’s booked in for this afternoon, I always dread what they might say ☹️ Ds2 and fiancée came to look at her this morning, with a baby swift in a cardboard box, it was found by her friend in the garden of the kids nursery where she works, so they have given it water with a syringe and it’s off to an expert this morning, apparently it’s name is Peter 😆

Not good news, our cat had to be put to sleep this afternoon ☹️ they said she could be kept in a few days on a drip which might buy her a few extra days or a week or so, but that seemed very unfair on her. We are all so upset as she’s been the centre of attention since she arrived when the boys were just two.
