Thanks KP and SC 🙂 Christmas is slowly creeping in here now, any glimmer of comfort at the moment 😁
Another full lockdown is on its way, I can’t believe he didn’t lock us down earlier really. I’ll be doing a list and getting whatever Xmas present bits I still need when the shops open Monday morning, it probably sounds a bit crazy to some but I can be in and out in half an hour and as it’s an out of town centre it will be very quiet first thing on a Monday, then I can be wrapped and done in time for December which is traditional in this house 😬
It seems like we are getting new neighbours either side now as the other side is on rightmove, this is the side that has the odd lockdown party and listens to terrible music in the summer outside 😁 Strange it’s up for £435k and the other side was only up for £390k and although nicer inside they are exactly the same size! She’s already had a few viewings so it can’t be that overpriced, which means our must be worth more than I thought as it’s got a conservatory, loft conversion and second bathroom. Totally irrelevant really as we won’t be moving unless we go totally broke.

That's quite a difference in price! I would love to know why.
I imagine it's quite difficult to decide on lockdown. Germany had protests because their lockdown was too effective and people felt it was an over reaction. Perhaps the decision was nudged by France's second lockdown?5 -
Hi KP, let’s just hope,it does the trick and fast 🙄
Off for one last day of fun today 😁 ds2’s girlfriend is off uni today so we are popping out to buy a couple of bits and if it’s quiet have toast and coffee out, then if it’s not busy we will visit the German Xmas market about half an hour away, I’m thinking as it’s midweek and a school day it might be ok, not sure if it will be shut or not after today as it’s part of a garden centre.Pretty organised for Xmas although the garden efforts where a waste of time really as we can’t have any guests 😆
Finances, I’ve no idea as it’s been a busy week, will have plenty of time to go through it all soon though with not much to do 😬MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁3 -
Hi Newgirly I had my day out yesterday xmas shopping 🛍,lunch & a cocktail with 2 friends. Had a lovely time just what I needed. A very long wait for lush so I didn’t bother. Primary no wait after lunch. This was in nearest city to me Bath. Have a good day out. x2025 Decluttering 10472⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Oooh that sounds lovely Mrs MP, we went to bath xmas market a couple of years ago with friends overnight it was lovely 😊
We had a great day, did the first half hour after opening of primarni, then a nice breakfast at the champagne bar, then bought a Xmas top for my teddy bear. Dropped the shopping off then went to the German market which was very well run and pretty much empty! Sat and had waffles and spiced apple hot drink and a good wander, bought ds1 some Brussel sprout flavoured ketchup 😬 then stopped at a big pet/aquatic centre nearby as ds2’s girlfriend had not been before. Back home to remove the third actual (and big by my standards) false widow of the month 😱

💚💚💚💚💚💚💚 SEPT/OCT UPDATE💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚
Start bal 2020: Today’s bal: Monthly:
Home mort: £73,119.28 £68,999 £2,686.60
work mortgage £61,561.73 £0 😬 £50,020.18
Offset £0 £2,353.84 -£18,450.84
Total: £134,681.01 £66,645.16 £34,255.94
Total paid off this year: £68,035.85
That’s over my target of £18k this year, we have had help in the form of a £12,000 gift and a £25k long term loan from my parents so I’ll be knocking that off for the purposes of updating the mfw2020 challenge figures as it feels like cheating! So a real figure so far of £31,035.85 this year 🙂
I’ve spent £337.32 / £1000 I am budgeting for grocery’s from 15th oct to the end of the year, in effect I’ve overspent based on a daily rate of £12.82 by £55.28 so I need to reduce costs there to catch up. We have 5 adults here to feed full time and I occasionally buy small bits to leave on dd’s doorstep, today was paninis, brie and cranberry sauce 😬 I will try and improve on that but I’m also in the process of building a Xmas chocolate cupboard, there will be a lot of quiet days in front of the tv and I think some treats will be needed, so if we end up going over the budget I won’t be too upset.I’m waiting to hear if I’ll be able to get more furlough money through work , it would only cost them about £20pm and would help a lot, I’ll be very upset if they say no when dh has had a big pay cut and has been putting extra hours in again 🙄 But we will be on less money either way from now on, I’m planning on overpaying all the rent money next year.I think a little extra small challenge might be a good idea just to keep in the swing of things , so I’m aiming to get the offset up to £2500 , so an extra £146.16 in the next two months 🙂MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁7 -
Fabulous walk in a country park about fifteen minutes away I’ve never been to before yesterday, met best friend there and took our own coffees. A bit pricey for parking £3.20 for two hours but well worth it as we came across deer in the woods, however not wanting to ruin my new boots I wore trainers which were not at all suitable 🤦🏼♀️ Will now order some wellies as mine are long lost! This weekends plans are not too thrilling:
- do washing and ironing - only a few loads of washing left now
-submit gas /elec readings , this is scary as heatings been on loads!- do 10k steps min
- make chicken casserole/pizza for me
-get ds2’s girlfriend to trim my hair, she not a hairdresser but she must be better than dh 😆
-check finances
-clean whole house and change bedsheets, I’m now rotating my festive ones on our bed as it’s close enough to Xmas 🌲☃️-find some money and start making ops!MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁7 -

I love Bath christmas market, I love the fact that it is all over and you think you've got to the end and BOOM more hot chocolate. Have you been to Birmingham christmas market? I've only been once and it was big and glorious. It had garlic bread. It was delicious.
Hope you get the furlough money. Fingers crossed.7
