I'm loving the irony that he offloaded the gas guzzler onto DH so he could get himself a Tesla 😳!Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)

Total amount repaid: £72,307.03. £1.10 repaid for every £1.00 borrowed
Finally earning interest instead of paying it!!!3 -
It’s very easy to accidentally order a Tesla! You order online (it’s the only way) and you only pay a £100 deposit!! Worryingly easy in fact....
Glad all is well NG. Just don’t let the company hear about you doing that with - there’s almost certainly a non-compete clause in the contract DH signed when he sold the business - you don’t need a lawsuit at the moment. Take care!Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

I think I could stretch to £100 😆
Yes there is a clause about that in the contract Vix! He wouldn’t actually poach their customers just possibly hoover up those going elsewhere anyway, morally not an issue but legally yes 🙄 This particular job is not one they would care about as each item is charged at £37 (there were 14) and my job working for them was charged at £60 ph to customers for working out what to charge. Each item took me just under an hour and my part is about a third of the work, so from their perspective not worth the bother. From mine though easy to do in front of the tv for a couple Of days 🙂Dh is currently doing a large part of the work in comparison to other staff, I’ve told him he should keep a record of output better so he can go to them in six months if they are still going and ask for more money if he’s doing a large chunk of the work in comparison to others who are now getting a similar wage and are not the manager. There’s still work I needed to do sitting there untouched after six months now 😱 crazy! Killerpeaty I will try and hurry up so you can see our shop 😆
Had lunch in a posh hotel yet stay and an Indian takeaway with my parents yesterday, all on them 😊 very nice indeed, £1 spent on an online homeless charity I used to donate to and haven’t in a while, felt a bit guilty just doing £1 but that’s probably a silly attitude, I’m not going to do regular amazon list purchases or donate £5/10 a time now, but odd small amounts are still worthwhile, they are very local and buy In Aldi and cook then deliver to homeless in kings cross and locally twice a week, I’ll probably do odd small amounts online as and when, feel a bit better now as we are trying to trim the budget and sometimes that’s a bit sad.MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁6 -
After reading killerpeatys diary about setting goals for saving next year, I remembered I was supposed to set some of my own rather than just aimlessly bumbling along not doing much!So I’m setting a very ambitious target of £1685.61 which will take our outstanding home mortgage balance down to £69,999.99 😬 approx £200 pm will come from usual mortgage payments, the other £885 odd will come from other means, not sure what yet and our budget is £500 pm for food and fuel, plus £150 personal spends so could be tricky fining an extra £295 pm over the next three months 😆 on the plus side ds2 will be paying rent again from next week (he’s on benefit now ☹️) and we settled on £100 pm and him saving £80 pm in his isa. So depending on food costs that could help.MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁6

Ahh it's good he's paying rent/food/something. I did used to make my DD1 pay something, even £10 pw... DD2 contributes netflixMortgage restart June 2018 £119950Re mortgage August 19 £110470, … Mortgage November 22 £85600 final 0% CC 3300Home renovations - £65000, mid 2018 - mid 20226

It was hard mfd’s trying to work out what’s fair if they all earn different amounts! So I asked him what was fair and he said either the same percentage as his brother or the same amount. One meant paying £51 pm one £36 pw, I felt one was too much and one too little, so we settled on £180, £100 for me and £80 I’ll save for him as he’s not like the other two and money slips away fast 😆 hopefully it’s short term and he will get a job soon.

Are any of the supermarkets looking for people at the moment? Quite a few are offering permanent and Christmas work around my way and it could come in handy for staff discounts on the Christmas dinner if nothing else?
Hurry up with the shop NG, you don't want to miss out on Christmas sales!Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)

My colleagues have been talking about their friends who have been made redundant who have been temping. Apparently there's quite a lot of it about because people need work being done but are worried about taking on permanent staff. These are people around 24-26 so not too far from your son?5

Not sure I will take a look thanks 😊
Not going well this week really ☹️ Firstly we have an unexpected (by us anyway as we are a bit clueless) tax bill for 2019 of nearly £6k. Then a close friend is having some horrible worries I can’t go into so I’m worried about her. Then last night I spotted a change in my breast and managed to get seen today by my GP who has fast tracked me for a breast clinic appointment. Not great, I’m in a general panic about my health most of the time normally! It’s going to be a long next few weeksI think, on the plus side I’ll easily lose that last stone I’ve been wanting to...MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁4 -
Sorry to hear about the tax bill and worries. Don’t panic about your breast - it could be lots of things (easier said than done, I know) - it’s good that your GP has referred you and I’m sure they’ll get you sorted ASAP.No idea about the tax bill - what sort of tax and when is it due? Is itdefinitely right? Do you still have money in the offset and would it cover it?Take care (and that means eat too!) xxMortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days
