Hi vix, there may well be some left anyway now I don’t drink 😆 to be fair they usually buy their own alcohol if they do drink.
Hi ladygnome, we have been through the process before In the past, however when we signed the business over they had various things put in our contracts that apply to just dh and myself regarding redundancy, we had no option at the time as we were more concerned about keeping the factory and everyone’s jobs, which I guess we have managed.MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁4 -
You did a great job in keeping things going the way you have. All the planning you have done means that you will survive this and find a way forward. Your financial situation is tight right now but it’s not disastrous. Even if you have to go down the route of stop gap jobs to bridge for a little while.MortgageStart Nov 2012 £310,000

Ah thank you so much, it feels like we are going from one failure to the next work wise but I guess it could be viewed the opposite way in that we are still here - just 😆

Thanks for the birthday wishes 🙂 she had a good day, although they were all a bit hungover for the night before so it was quite low key and I have lots of drink left for the boys birthdays. The takeaway was £90 which was ok for the amount of people (nine).I saw my brother yesterday too who make a couple of comments about not trusting the work bosses and a few things that we hadn’t mentioned that he already knew about. I’m sure he has been spoken to about some of this even though dh has been ordered to not discuss with anyone and he’s the manager. I feel like they may be playing staff off against each other perhaps.Anyway, on a brighter note I have a very clean house after a 5am start yesterday killing time, food is frozen pizzas for everyone who is here or may come over and cake again, so not much to do. My clothes rail in the loft room has broken so I may have to order a new one ☹️ it’s about the third one I’ve overwhelmed, and I don’t have that many clothes now! I think I may need to spend more than £15 odd to get one that lasts, a wardrobe won’t fit in the odd space behind the door up there. Very annoying as it’s supposed to be a no spend month.MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁5

Oh dear, we haven’t weeded the from garden for a while and they are coming up even though it’s paved over, it’s a small drive that can just fit two cars, and as I’m sitting in bed with the window open on the top floor I heard a woman shouting (properly shouting) “omg look at the state of that house” I’ve looked out the window and it’s the rather odd guy next door and his sister 😱 I’m now both upset, embarrassed and angry! I’ve been meaning to do it but now I’m tempted to let it get a lot worse, he is up for sale 😂 Honestly our back garden and house is spotless and I have a few weeds on the drive, sometimes it’s so snobby here, why are people so rude?MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁5

Sounds like very odd behaviour NG - you say they’re weird though - perhaps not socially competent? I wouldn’t let it worry you!
Glad DD’s birthday went well. Agree that £90 for 9 is good value but wasn’t the £100 (?) meant to cover both birthdays? (Missing the eek emoji!) Maybe I’ve misremembered that. Good that there’s lots of booze left though! 😊
Re the hanging rail, can it not be temporarily fixed?
By the way, never heard you mention Shop & Scan - have you tried to sign up and them not want you or have you never tried? Would think they’d want you - and for consumer pulse! It’s an easy and good earner.Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days
