Well the neighbours have had a great time, the chav next door has invited his friends over for drinks in the back garden, they all look pretty close to me, they also are talking loudly about how over the top people are if you bump into them at the supermarket. Then the new family next door but one have their whole family over all day in the front garden. Loads of kids, grandparents picking them all up, none live with them, but they have flags up and hand gel on the front wall so it must be fine! 😱I’m not at all grouchy today 😂MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁6

Well last night well last night things got even weirder, our neighbours are very much keep to yourself here normally, perhaps being on a main road doesn’t help, but about five houses along , three of the houses took out back garden fence panels and and had a huge loud and late drunken party, running into each other’s garden, dancing, hugging etc. Did everyone go a bit mad yesterday? People barely say hello to each other here normally!About to check the finances now, but did spend a little yesterday on a winter coat 🙄 a little early perhaps but it was a bargain! I wanted a short pea coat last year as sometimes a long wool coat is too much, next had one in their clearance section, £62 reduced to £18, plus I had a £9 gift card, had to pay £3.99 delivery but still very cheap. It says it comes up big so I got a 10 if it doesn’t fit dd can have it 👍 My first clothes purchase in a very long time!MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁6

Wow NG, not surprised you were grouchy - I’d have been calling the police!! How infuriating! 😡

We did have a debate on the coronavirus family group chat, thing is though it all looks as it it should, the ones out the front put chairs in every corner as if they were distancing. We were 50/50 in the “to snitch or not to snitch poll” ! My feeling is I just want to move now to the middle of a field away from everyone 😁MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁8

Gosh I would have been furious too NG. We are quite lucky here, our neighbours who normally have inconsiderate parties are taking the lockdown seriously. I suspect one of them may be in the vulnerable category and are keeping their noisy family away. The downside is that we live on a lane and can't really see our neighbours, so miss out on all the community stuff that has been going on elsewhere. I tend to speak to the neighbours more when I bump into them dog walking .7

Alcohol + staying at home for weeks does not = social distancing 😡 They probably set out with reasonable intentions, but forgot after all the booze. Small comfort after a noisy night, but at least they were far enough away from your family not to have posed a risk. I know what you mean on the snitch/don't snitch debate - I'd always be worried that they'd find out somehow that it was me that did the snitching and make my life unpleasant in some way. Hence I'm just a grumble indoors/drive boyfriend mad complaining about it to him kind of soul!
Great buy on the coat! It sounds like a thoughtful, well-researched and considered purchase - not just picking something up as you were walking round the shopping centre! Very good 😀Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)

That sounds good Busy Mee, friendly but at a distance! It’s so frustrating, but I think many people have just got bored with it and rebellion is setting in. Plus some people are just selfish idiots who don’t seem to have a lot of empathy for others who are vulnerable, maybe elderly or living alone and are scared.MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁6

Hi SC sorry but I’ve only just seen your post, I’m not sure how I missed it! I don’t think anything would happen if you do report it anyway, so many people seem to be doing the same thing.Iceland shop coming tomorrow 🥳 I’ve done a very small shop and flipped the Asda c&c from tomorrow until Friday, food spending reductions will happen this month! I feel a bit more secure in being able to get regular shops with most items available so am going to start using what we have a little more, instead of using and topping up as and when.MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁5
