Lovely plate. 😍 I love Emma Bridgewater and have a collection of mugs on display as well as a couple of jugs, 2 lots of cake tins and some Christmas bits. My ex-SIL had a dresser groaning with the stuff. What else did you choose?Save £10,500 - £2673.77 - 25.5%

Hi XSpender, I would love a big dresser to fill, it’s next on the list actually! I bought a couple of Xmas plates with the black writing around them, a holly teapot and a couple of mugs so far, more is to come though! I did get a free mug via dh being a new customer and I’ve bought some seconds and managed a few discount codes plus topcashback, it’s still a lot of money on stuff that I would not normally buy though.Mortgage call did not go so well, their systems are down and they are shut until next week so I couldn’t even book an appointment, I did find out they have already reduced the rates since the base rate drop, so I can fix when ready now.The cruise call was hopefully more successful, he said he would mark it as a priority so hopefully it will go through a bit quicker.£5.32 payable from tcb today so that’s been overpaid, about to check the damage in the accounts now after my Emma bridgewater shopping from my personal spending allowance 😱MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁7

After a rubbish night sleep I was up at 5am making cakes and tea loaf for VE Day as I thought we could have little party. Nobody will help with anything though and when I tried to get the boys up I didn’t get a great reply! Not sure I will bother now 😡 dh has decided after all this time that today is the day to wash the cars, not get the garden nice for later, so I’m quitting and will eat the sandwiches I’ve made myself and watch a film if they can’t be bothered!I’ve been playing forties music, am wearing red white and blue and even managed to spot the red arrows earlier flying over. I’ll give them another hour then I’m eating the food on my own!MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁5

Oh how annoying of them! Are you listening to Absolute 40s (on the app or 1215), it makes it feel like a party anyway! I might make a tea loaf now you mention it - my scones won’t last long (we’ve already started on them!). I’ve got the nails done - considering adding my Goodwood dress later - but it’s a bit warm....Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

My lot weren't playing either today. I got them out for a nice lunch on the deck but they have disappeared now. I've made a fruit cake and I intend to have a slice with a nice pot of tea made with loose leaf in a nice Laura Ashley cup and saucer later.
I love your Christmas plate and might have to have a little look myself later.5 -
I hope you all manage to enjoy the day 😊
Busymee, that’s more or less what happened here, Dh sloped off for a lie down when I thought he was loading the dishwasher! I was listening to absolute 40’s earlier Vix but we have moved on to blur now by ds2, who is doing his best to drink all the pimms left in the house 😆
A couple of neighbours have set up outside nearby, but no street party here but I know friends nearby are having them.MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁5 -
Absolute got a bit repetitive after a while, so I think we’re likely to switch to something a bit more modern (there’s only so many times you can hear frank skinner’s terrible singing!)
No noticeable street party here either... but we’ve had scones in the garden.Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days
