New girly :
Next week we think! Bake off is:
Signature - some form of totally covered chocolate biscuit, like a kit Kat, blue riband, penguin etc.
Technical - fig rolls
Showstopper, biscuit sculpture.
We bake along every week too - the radio times is quite good for working out the bakes and we tend to watch the teaser at the end several ties to check.Outstanding mortgage: £23,181 (December 19)

That must be gutting for your Dad.
Love that you bake in preparation for Bake off - but I'm guessing you bought rather than baked with no kitchen?! Hope builder manages to crack on today, despite missing bits!Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

We don’t acfaully bake along, more of a buy along, but we may start baking with a new kitchen hopefully
Thanks wishing, we don’t usually get it exactly right, not sure about fog rolls, but yes please to kit Kats
Reduced coats collected and none of them are any good, the joe brown ones were very thin, I may have to buy one of the full price ones in next I like the look of
Builder cracking on well today again, he pointed out that they have left an empty space at the end of a run of base cupboards 200mm wide, so I’ve managed to order a cupboard to go in there today which should be delivered today with the rest of the missing stuff. That’s pretty rubbish of the howdens designer.MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0 -

Oooh that sounds lovely, how far away are you?
£12.74 left in the food and petrol budget until next Thursday, can’t see me managing thatnext months £100 cash food budget is available now though (cash budget of £100 on pay day) rest on the cc on the 5th, so I can dip into it if I have to.
Spotted my £5 off Amazon email this morning, credited for watching prime for ten minutesneed to spend over £20 so will order a xmas present or two before it runs out.
Still managing to stay pretty chilled out considering the chaos we are in, the kitchen fitter is finishing today come what may, as it was a bit uncertain if he was doing the plastering and painting umm assuming he’s not! There’s no time much wall space around the kitchen so perhaps it’s juts a little skimming it needs, I’m no expert. Main builders will do the floor, but it’s coming together really well :T
It seems a white white and white theme, I wanted a blank canvas to have some seventies stuff the focal point, will be using grans old crockery, but need to get some hornsey or similar tea and coffee canisters, plus I want to get a blind made (hopefully by my aunt ) using fabric the same as the carpet in “the shining”MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0 -
Kitchen fitted :T still walls and floor to do, but it’s fully usable.
Dh had a good birthday, took him to see lots of capris at the car show so he was happy, such an Essex boy :rotfl: weirdly I found money twice this weekend - £30 on our drive fluttering around and then £5 on the floor at the car show the next dayit’s in the savings envelope in my bedroom at the moment.

Hi mfd’s , yes I can’t quite believe how quick it was, still filthy unfinished floors and walls left but hopefully that will get done at some point.
Need to spend lots of time checking next accounts and updating any ops (not sure there are any!) kitchen spending not too bad so far except proper costs, I’ve bought got some very cheap pans - I prefer cheap pans and irons as they are lightera new kettle and toaster, bright orange and retro, a lot cheaper than the dualit ones I was thinking about
Only other “wasteful” spending has been on advent calendars, but not any old boring advent calendars but LEGO HARRY POTTER ones  I didn’t even know they existed ! £25 and free prime delivery, already selling on eBay and they were only released on the first of September. I’ve ordered two incase they end up going for silly money, I know it’s not ethical really but they will be sold out for sure. I’m calling it a present to myself for quitting booze, it’s will be a year at the start of November, to be honest I could buy an awful lot of advent calendars with the money I’ve saved from not buying wine :rotfl:MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0 -
