Tried to keep on top of the cleaning yesterday, may Take a while to get used to being so organised
Off to see the favourite after work tonight, taking best friend whose birthday it is tomorrow, she normally only goes to see kids films so it’s a treat.
Currently in not too bad a place re the kids working - Dd started her work placement for uni yesterday, ds2 enjoying working full time at a building firm and ds1 still hoping for a full time position but in again this week working for a transport company. It’s a better place than we were at a few months ago when I had visions of us supporting them at fifity while they ate pot noodles and played the Xbox all day rotfl::rotfl:MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0 -
Bit of a spendy day today
I don’t forgotten Dd had invited a couple of friends over for dinner, she doesn’t see them as often as she should due to uni/work/boyfriend, so I bought some nice bits from M&S and lots of little cakes
I also happened across flying tigers sale, everything in the whole store was £2 , I bought five china cake stands and a few bits for dds new bedroom. I know five cake stands may seem unnecessary, but they are perfect for garden parties or afternoon teas for birthdays, plus it will stop me buying the disposable ones in the pound shop. Also bought two ceramic Harry Potter bathroom sets from primarni - toothbrush holder, soap dispenser etc. For £1 each reduced from £10 each :T chuffed with those as I considered them at Xmas at full price but held back.
Off out tomorrow with best friend for a birthday shopping trip and lunch, followed by the hairdressers, then Dd, dh and I are going to see glass at the cinema, along with ds2 and his new boyfriend whom we have just metMFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0 -

Oops I didn’t realise I’d been away for so long
Busy weekend, posh meal Saturday night for best friends birthday, a houseful for dinner both thurs and Friday, cinema Saturday , dinner at mums Sunday.
Anyway due to that lot the daily cleaning regime didn’t go quite as planned although saying that I have kept on top of everything really.
Dh popped round his parents Saturday who told him they are moving to Lincoln, apprenalty they’ve had their house up for sale for weeks  His older brother lives there and has been trying to get them there for years. It’s up to them of course but mil does not seem keen, plus apart from bils step daughter, all of their grandchildren are here
Dh says he’s not bothered but it seems clear to me he’s quite hurt. Not sure how sil is with all this as she really doesn’t get on with fil and said if they ever move close she will leave! Family drama eh.....
Budget getting slimmer - around £80 ish left of the £400 now. Could be a worrying week as I may get the car mot’d and the engine Light is back onthe work van is awaiting new electric battery from France still (could be months) and my parents have decided now is a great time to sell the car I’ve currently borrowed off them until the van is usable, not great timing really, it’s been sat in a garage for the last few years
Well this is a rather moany post so I’m off to bed to hopefully wake up in a bettter mood :rotfl:MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0 -

Hi mfd’s , no they have been retired ages, I think it’s just dhs older brother has moved there and is a bit lonely, he’s been there eight years or so but hasn’t really made any friends.
Personally if I’m honest I can’t say I will miss themsounds awful but they have not always been the nicest, I’m just a bit miffed for the kids and dh really. As for a cheaper house, yes it is way cheaper than London, they are however looking for properties much bigger than their current 3 bed detatched- I’ve no idea why as they are getting close to eighty and it seems like more work for them.

Wow close to 80 and a bigger house!! more room for you to stay then
Yes I would probably be miffed too.
We don't have much contact with family. We've all fallen out. My eldest brother has recently been unwell seeing him every other day was a big push on once or twice a year. It's only him and 2 sisters who live away I keep up with. several more not to mentionMortgage restart June 2018 £119950Re mortgage August 19 £110470, … Mortgage November 22 £85600 final 0% CC 3300Home renovations - £65000, mid 2018 - mid 20220 -
Wow sounds like you have a big family there!
I’m thinking we can visit on the way to and from York - I just could not stay with them, even dh gets a hotel room instead of staying at his brothers house - it’s lights out at 9pm and no noise  they make my side seem normal :rotfl:
I’ve blown the budget, I went to tesc@ on the way home and bought lots of lovely low calorie treats (halo peanut butter ice cream) and some ready meals, we don’t usually do ready meals here but nobody likes what I cook and they all eat differmt things at crazy times so I thought it might help. Need to work out if there’s anything left in the budget but I’ve had a great evening eating low calorie lovely things
