It’s time to set some new goals for February
Keeping it simple -
Lose 4 lb
Save an extra £50 into premium bonds for my new savings pot- for dh and I to have a more adventurous holiday at some point when we can
Be nicer to everyone, try not to get as stressed and bottle up frustrations
Do something for charityMFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0 -
First item ticked off the to do list - £10 donation sent to the new local homeless charity I’ve noticed on social media. Will try and make this a regular thing or at least get something from their amazon wish list when I can.
Tcb £2.82 requested towards the £50 premium bond today
On the opposite end of the spending spectrum though I’m debating buying the world most expensive theatre tickets“the cursed child” it’s greent’s fault for planting the seed a while back :rotfl: top price are £700 for two for parts one and two of the show  basically all seats left are rubbish (very high or restricted ) or silly prices. I have found some on a weds in sept on then same day that are ok for £75 pp per part in the first circle not restricted. That’s literally the only day!
Dds would LOVE this so I’m thinking it could be her and my birthday presents, her ticket will come from Febs birthday savings pot and my birthday is in a few weeks so I could probably cover it then.
Also best friends dh has decided to let me do him the favour of going with her so he doesn’t have to see carmen at the Royal opera house :T what a star, and he won’t let me pay for it, I’ll have to get him a present and buy us dinner ( best friend not her hubby that is :rotfl:)
Having a few nice things to look forward to helps on a wet Monday morningMFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0 -

We bought 'ok' tickets at £75pp/ per show - it's a random mid-week day. I'd go for similar ones if you can - as long as view is not restricted, of courseOur costs are bumped up then by travel and a hotel stay...
Feb plans sound good!xx

Hi greent, that’s exactly what I did book - total cost £300  at least we don’t have the other costs involved you had to pay for
Just this year’s studio tour left to book now, we did Xmas last year and Halloween the year before, so perhaps Halloween againit’s only Dd and I and it’s just a forty minute drive away so not too pricey, that would be our HP fix for the year sorted!
Next on the list is taking ds2’s boyfriend to “the who” shop in Upton Park, he’s a massive who fan but has never been. Love that shop and it’s tiny little museumMFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0 -
Hate to suggest it but... if you're going to the Cursed Child, perhaps you could give the Studios a miss this year? :P
Story about BIL's wedding is  Can see why you're concerned.... I have a not dissimilar BIL!Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Oh no vix  it’s our favourite place in the world and it’s tradition now
however I’m still counting it as mse, as I’m not going to the wizarding world in Florida, just Watford again :rotfl::rotfl:
Now is probably not the best time to confess to purchasing a box at the royal opera house to see the Frankenstein balletin my defence (again!) they were the cheapest tickets although you had to buy four- so I’m taking my parents and charging them for theirs and dh is paying for mine and dds as a birthday present, £32 pp is pretty good though
That’s it for a while with booking things .....
However to balance out the spending this week I got a co-op meal deal for £5 :money: :rotfl:MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0 -
We regularly buy the co-op deal which is mostly great value. I do have a lot of sweet corn in the freezer though!June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0

It was great cath,we have never had a co op nearby before
Not much to report, had brunch in the healthy cafe yesterday with friends, then took ds2 to the cinema to see greenbook as he had no work.
Mil wants us for lunch Saturday, Dd is going, but I think we may skip it. Things have been quite tense lately since they involved older brother house hunting and put their house up for sale without telling us and younger brother, plus they have recently found out that ds2 is shock horror not straight. Dh wisely told them without me or ds2 there, fils reaction was this is partly the reason they are moving from London - the people. this was totally to be expected and ds2 is under no illusions of how they may be, luckily he is quite confident and finds it amusing rather than hurtful, So far.... I’m not as amused.
Dh has been working late the last few days and he was away all last weeeknd, so I fancy a lazy weekend, maybe a Cinema trip, or even lunch out somethwere cheap. Sunday is my 100 days anniversary of being teetotal :T I’ve instructed dh to make a fuss - he said he will let me drive him out for a drink to celebrate :rotfl::rotfl:
Nothing mortgage wise to report, finances need updating but it will have to wait as I’m out this morning and have a friend over for a cuppa laterMFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁1 -
Meh to p-I-l's reaction re DS2 - I don't understand - he hasn't suddenly grown an extra head, changed personality or grown a tail - he is just the same grandson that he always was.
(My aunt announced her sexuality in her 40s - you'd have thought she'd been arrested for heinous offences the way some people reacted)
Love your DH's idea of celebrating 100 days!! :rotfl:(And massive well done, btw! :T)
