Thanks guys, it's exciting and nerve wracking!

Ds has lost his kindle which I was borrowing, I spent last night joining a trial of Amazon prime and kindle unlimited and choosing books :( very tempted to buy one at the airport and see if I can download some before we go if I can get free wifi.

Currently in Piraeus today, all day trips to Athens sold out, plus at something like 114 degrees I can't face doing much! The tour bus round the city is €70 so we will just have a wander after finishing our cokes. Hopefully Crete will be easier tomorrow. Poor dd will be disappointed today as she was supposed to be seeing Adele tomorrow and she has cancelled, tickets bought from viagogo so she can't get a refund, hopefully mum who bought them can get a credit cs d refund.

Hi green t and shs, thanks for popping by:)

I've been dying the last couple of days, dizzy, wobbly etc. Feeling better after some Nurofen. I don't think hot holidays suit me! Cruise is good but so much busier and livlier than our usual short winter ones, plus as a naturally grumpy person people do annoy me :o

But we are making the most of it, I've actually been in one if the pools today. Rang the kids who were less than excited to speak to me, so different from when they were little and cute and couldn't weight get on the phone!

    The funeral sounds bizarre.

Really surprised to hear people annoy you, NG. I imagined you to be quite the extrovert. Sorry to hear it's so hot and your teenagers are being grumpy. However, enjoy the rest of your holiday. :)

Home and in bed with a cup of tea :T:T:T

I was ill the whole week long, some kind of virus that made me ache, cough, really tired etc. Not a good combo with such hot weather! Still got out to each port but apart from Valletta in Malta today they were all pretty pants really :o

Ship was busy and noisy and had hundreds of people sunbathing everywhere (I'm quite chatty Alex, but also quite superior, it runs in the family - my mum and gran both suffered from it too ;)) it was way more downmarket than the others we have been on. Although it was still p and o.

Builders have done a little more work, including replastering our kitchen ceiling after they caused a leak bless them  boys still at the parents, apparently they thought they would stay another night as the house is such a tip and is very dusty.

So bad news tons of washing and cleaning and I still feel ill, builders will probably turn off water first thing

Good news, illness meant less champagne consumed so bar bill under target and no weight gain :D plus I'm home snuggled up with my wonderful cat.

I am never going on a week long holiday again, it was too long, too far and way too hot. Not that I am one to moan!
