Is the M*s voucher from opening the current account? Ours came through quite quickly and get topped up each month. Hope you've managed to get it sorted. Will look into the water bottle you mentioned, thank you.June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0

It's worth doing. We opened two accounts and £20 a month is most welcome. That's 2 dine in deals which means free wine! I'm going to take the £25 I spent in there (using vouchers) from our food budget to pay off cc.June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0

Oh dear, I switched a current account and switched two direct debits but that does not count apparently! They won't let me have the vouchers so I closed the account.
what a lot of faffing for nothing, im usually good at reading the terms etc.

I thought that was the deal? Switch an account with two active direct debits?' what a shame it's not been honoured.June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0 -

A fairly lazy day today, did a bit of washing and ironing, went to the local antique centre and purchased a stuffed owl, just the usual stuff :rotfl:
It's something ds2 has wanted for a long while (he is fairly normal in most other ways !) I hate the things, well they are fine alive but not so great dead in my vegetarian opinion. Still, it is defiantly very old, and was a good price after a little haggle £90 so it's tucked away in dads shed until his birthday in summer. It will come out of the birthday savings pot.
I've just been catching up with elaine at mortgage free in three's blog, she stopped writing a year ago and has recently started again. It's a fantastic blog about her living on a shoestring to op the mortgage, highly recommended. The only problem I'm having is I would like to find a way to read through from the start again but that doesn't seem to be an easy option.MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0 -
I worked with a woman who practised taxidermy. She had a stuffed crow on her desk.
Sounds a bargain, they go for hundreds, the antique ones.
Also vegetarian and I think its gross.0 -
My aunt asked if she could buy ds2 a book on how to teach yourself taxidermy as a joke present, I said no it's too risky as I'm very fond of the cat
Power cut AGAIN tonight so a few of them have been playing chess by candlelight, so nice to see but I'm glad it's back on now as I wanted to watch trainspotting on tv at 10.MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0
