Well he didn't go in the end as he felt ill and went to bed, so I drove to the first half of our Xmas do near the factory for an hour or so , picked up some of the already tipsy and then dropped them in town, went home fed and checked ds2 then went back to town and ate a huge meal and drank loads of wine
Our old apprentice came and managed to knock a jd and Coke over the elderly couple at the table next door, so he cleaned it up and gave them a box of chocolates he'd been given from work, so they chatted with us too and ate the chocolates, they had probably picked the noisiest but friendliest table to sit near and that's saying something in a wetherspoons on a Friday night in town  £0 spend except the bus home as dh paid (hence why we were all in a wetherspoons :rotfl:)
Dh and ds1 have just left for borough market to buy cheese with strict instructions to not spend lots of money! My dad and brother are going too, I'm fascinated to know what their bill is.

Hope everyone had a good Xmas day
Dh felt ill as he wen to his parents in the morning for breakfast and had a huge fry up as he didn't want to offend his mum (who knew he was having Xmas lunch two hours later.....) we managed an after dinner walk and did the usual quiz, I'm about to start the food for them all to come here now.
Hopefully back later to catch up on diaries, happy Boxing DayMFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0 -

Boxing Day went very well, today I've spent the day making plans for next year. I did start another thread to see if anyone else had any good ideas I can pinch too
It's going to be a tricky year if I stick to the op targets that I've set, we won't have much to live on still and it would be pretty easy to get distracted and buy stuff instead of carrying on with the mortgage, we have the lowest mortgage balance we've had for 15 years.
So the plan is to focus on weight loss and fitness as the main challenge, It shouldn't be too expensive and will take up quite a bit of time of i do it properly, if I don't do it this year I probably never will
A bit of spending before starting will be-
A new water filter bottle (no more shop bought mini bottles)
Decent lunch/dinner Tupperware (or the 2017 version :rotfl::rotfl:)
A couple of Argos sale kettle bells, £2.99 each , buy one get one half price :TMFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0 -

Sorry if I missed it but did you get to the bottom of why Deliveroo wouldn't pay your daughter?0 -

Hi, you still, need a tv licence to watch sky, did you mean get rid of sky to save £150? Either way it wouldn't really suit as as we use both a lot!
Hi spamtastic, no we didn't get anywhere with them. Dd wanted to deal with it and she has emailed multiple times and I've recommended she posts in their twitter/Facebook accounts for a better outcome, it seems she wasn't the only one.MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0 -
I think you only need a tv licence if you watch BBC.... that does include the catch up thing too
That was my understanding anyway0 -
Hi choccielover, you need it for all live tv and BBC catch up
I'm having a trial run with he Fitbit today, probably won't get over about 2k steps though has don't have much planned except a top up shop and the cinema if I can persuade ds2MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0 -
I've made an error when updating he figures and forgotten to allow for interest this month
end result is a total yearly op of £223 less so a figure of £84,733.
Ive changed my signature but won't bother the mfw thread with it as the year is over anyway now.
Savings to start the new year are £52 in an isa
£6 in £2 coins , that's it!MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0 -
