Not so much done yesterday except work due to being very achey from the shock of exercise :rotfl:
I've been having a right move nose today and am really surprised by the prices nearby. A 3 bed end terrace with downstairs kitchen extension has just gone up for £460k in the road behind us. we don't have a downstairs extension (except conservatory), plus our house is not done to such a nice finish and we are mid terrace , but we have a large 4th bedroom and extra bathroom which this one doesn't. We are in the cheap end of town too!
The posher end of town currently has 4 bed semis for £830k and 5 bed detached for £1.5 m
I know things have gone a bit crazy in the house market in this part of the country, but we had our loft conversion 3years ago and it was with the knowledge that it may mean we lose money if we sell as we were so close to the stamp duty 250k tier.
That's a stupid amount in a short space of time
Frightening stuff when you have three children, with the tightened mortgage controls on top, it's going to be an impossible task for them to be able to live anywhere near the area where they and generations of our family have lived before if they want to.
Obviously the big fear is they never move out :rotfl:MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0 -
Day off today :j meeting friends for coffee and then me best friend and baby are popping my to Costco for a mooch about. I can't stock up on meat as the freezers are currently full, I am hoping they do cheap avocados though
Legs bums and tums for the first time tonight , it's £5.50 each time but I think it's worth it while I try to lose weight, once I reach target maybe once a week will be enough.
Strangely even though on the way home me from work I feel desperate for a nice glass of wine before dinner, by the time I get home and eat I don't feel like it much at all, cutting dairy and having to have black coffee and green tea all day is much worse than no wine :rotfl:
£2.73 tcb payable today , plus £10 half fax rewards that's £12.73 free money to op
Meters need reading as dd has been adjusted upwards again, it's the only place bill wise to save now, everything else is down to the minimum, even sky is haggled to £6 pm so no more discount there I think!MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0 -
I am on fire this week, second workout done
Legs bums and tums in a church hall with lots of ladies of a certain age, if they can do it I can, easy I thought! Wow I nearly passed out, it was worse that Zumba :rotfl: managed to get back to the car with my jelly legs afterwards , shower and then dinner. Shattered.
Can't sleep well since giving up alcohol, I thought it was supposed to make sleep better, maybe I just have more energy eating fruit veg and nuts than the normal snacking and no proper meals I used to do.:oMFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0 -
How could I forget the big news of the day
I have got an antique wrought iron white double bed for dd from eBay for £65 :T shabby looking on castors with big brass finials, it's just what we wanted, plus they were selling a Lloyd loom blanket trunk with faded green paint (dds colour scheme to be) with a bright pink palm tree seat cover , kitsch heaven
£25 , haggled £10 off the pair, to be collected Sunday , but too far for the electric van so dh will have to park at ikea on the way to recharge (and have a fry up
)
Will need a new mattress , but it's a great startMFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0 -

Hi NG,
I went to an aqua workout before Christmas thinking the same thing, it was so tiring!MFW 2025 No. 7 £1130/£1200

Weight loss going ok, still have pains in muscles I didn't know I had from Thursday night. I am just debating whether to put on some of my new workout clothes and go for a long walk (not jog- I hate it
) but it is windy and my bed is very snuggly :rotfl:
Went to the big Swedish shop last night with dd and bought a small white metal and glass desk and a bedside table for her room, £45 for both. There is a vintage fair in Bethnal Green tomorrow which we might go and have a look at too. I think I am more excited than her looking for things, it's double the pleasure of you like it and it's cheap
We have a small surplus each month at the moment, I was using this months (£200) to pay for some of dds room, but I might actually try and squeeze some of that from the usual food/petrol/general budget instead. As Feb is a dry and diet friendly it should save a bit , except for the cost of excercise classes of course, and there are no birthday nights out for friends or anything planned.MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0 -
Enjoy the vintage fair, they are great fun. I always get excited when I see something that I remember from my childhoodEarly retired - 18th December 2014

Thanks gg, hope you are well
I did brave the weather this morning and walked to town and back 4 miles, then had another walk this afternoon with my friend , around 2 and a half miles, it's blooming cold though :snow_laug
Quiet one apart from that, made a veggie vindaloo from jack monroes blog, except changed half the ingredients, it was very good. Watched gone girl again with ds2 who had not seem it before.
Up early tomorrow to do the ironing as I will be out during then day and its ironing day!MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0
