I don't want my boys to grow up...... It gets wayyyyyyy to complicated! Every child is different and every parent is different so do what's right for your kid and you.

    Good luck with your decision.

They are all very good kids, its just the constant parent worrying that can get exhausting , wanting them to be independent and trying to hide the fear of what might go wrong, I suppose the same as when they are little ,will the worry ever stop :o

On the plus side fire girl when they are older you can go out for a nice glass of wine in a pub and leave them all at home yay! :rotfl:

Day off work and at home today.

I'm out tonight for my friends 40th, three of us are going to the Turkish restaurant with belly dancers and then drinks. This is before my £30 pm me budget starts on the 9th thank goodness, as cocktails could be involved at some point :D

    To do list:

    Clean filthy house
    Change sheets
    Check bank accounts
    Buy food

Dhs Spanish family are over at the moment (mil is Spanish) so we have to visit them, just hope its not too early sat morning after my night out.

Oh the worrying.....does it ever stop!!
Mine is still so very young and I am determined she will be an independent spirit, make her own decisions and live her life to the fullest. While I stand in a corner a jibbering worrying wreck!

Mines off to "big school" in a weeks time (nursery in a big school setting) and I'm a nervous wreck.
She of course loves it and had an amazing time on her introductory day. :o

No wine for me though, good thing I spend so much on manicures, stops me biting my nails to the quick!!

Best of luck choccielover, I hope she settles in well next week :)

Urgh, too much alcohol and a late night and I'm still awake early. Not to dear a night as it could have been I guess about £38 plus black cab home £18(split) for about a eight minutes drive  it did include a nice Turkish meal too.

Due to this excess spending on a supposedly tight month , I changed all my coins yesterday at Mr t's coinstar £60.66 way easier than counting and paying to park in town. Then bought £67 worth of food there to see us through until next week.

I also ordered new Xbox controller for ds1's birthday £35 but found I had over £16 cash reward towards it at game, plus I cashed in my club card points and doubled up to buy my brother monopoly nostalgia for Xmas , its on his list every year £7 spent instead of £37.

I think I might cash in the premium bonds ,we have £1000 at the end of the month as an emergency fund ,but as we are io and overpaying soon by over £1500pm we could just not overpay for a month for if something crept up.

I seem to do better at spending less when forced into it ie. I can't save in a bank account as I'm always borrowing from it ,but can overpay OK.

I've also now got to find £265 for a college trip to Paris for dd, plus her bus fares are due by October £480 I have the most of the money for the bus set aside ,but think I'll try and pay both costs from my monthly £700 over the next few months.
Which will leave us £560 all in

So the question is do I overpay the premium bonds which will not even knock one month off term (£1550 will) or spend on a bit on work to the house ,there is an endless list of jobs and no money for seven years to do it? Or maybe 50\50between the two.

I made the spontaneous decision today to go and buy paint and paint the living room white. All the wood work and doors needs doing too so its a big job and I'm almost half way through. Not sure I like it though  we have a bright red chimney breast and now white instead of cream walls , I think ill let it grow on me for a few days!

Not sure I like the idea of blood and bandages. ;) However, I do like plain walls because I own quite a bit of art which I like to hang on the walls and look at without distractions.
