Hope you find a good priced bathroom. It's something we need to seriously think about this year as our shower leaks almost every time its used due to the poor design of the bath shape.0

Well done on achievements so far!
Can recommend Victoria Plumb for bathroom suites - we got sink, shower and toilet from them for ensuite. Were dirt cheap. Spent more on tiling, altogether looks like a luxury bathroom.Mortgage [STRIKE]16/03/2011: £190K 01/01/2017: £107,729.65 [/STRIKE] 01/07/2017: £95,979.89

DH took the boys out this morning to get some veg for lunch and someone has hit the front of the car, rolled down hill while they were in traffic and has made a 10cm hole in the the front bumper bit, they also revved up and hit the car in front of them as well. Kids are fine, but its a brand new car which we have only had 10 months.
He got the (young) bloke's phone/ reg no. But Dh seems to think we will end up having to claim as he went into the front of us not the back. So i'm a bit p!ssed off at the moment. We have never had to claim before and I don't want the car ins. going up.MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0 -
just wrote a long reply and then it didn't save grrr!
I just wanted to say newgirly, sorry to hear about your husbands bump in yr car. Did he get any witness contact details? He should claim against the other driver's insurance as it wasn't him at fault. It shouldn't put yr premiums up (all being well). I had a small bump in May, then my insurance renewal in August did not really increase...in fact I got a much cheaper price elsewhere!
Wonderful news your parents paying for a week's hols. You must be overjoyed, and something to look forward to in the Summer.
Well done museumworker on finding a great bathroom company for newgirly, sounds like you may have come up trumps!
My niece is being christened in 2 weeks, so I have been searching for a present - I saw a lovely Tatty Bear Me to You Christening Clock in H Samuel for £29.99. I then found it on ebay for £9.99 (free p & p) what a result
Am off to make a big batch of Sheperds pies in a mo...love doing these, saves money and saves time!"A smile takes but a moment...

Hi mummalove, I too have deleted another post!
To cut short, dh had no witnesses this morning so we are hoping that the op tells the truth as to what happened, fingers crossed.
I have spent a bit on food today, walked to the little mr t and got some packed luch bits for school.I have also cancelled my mr a delivery due tues, as I just don't have the room at the moment to store a months worth of stuff. Will shop weekly instead and try not to waste as much.
I have done a couple of surveys today, hopefully I will get my next tesco voucher from VO soon as its going to be a tight month (for a change!) I have got 5 birthdays and 2 nights out , both which I can't get out of really, one is a meal and drinks with the girls in london, goodness knows how much that will cost! I think I will be borrowing fro next months money as well, its not such an expensive month and all these extras have to come out of the 4k challenge.
Hope everyone is having a good weekend.MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0 -

I have tried to do a couple of surveys today..but I always seem to be screened out of them lately, drives me mad especially when you enter quite a lot of info first! What is VO that you refer to Newgirly? I am not up to date with all out there!
January is an expensive month for us too - one of my best friends turns 40 and as she lives in Birmingham and her party is there...we are staying in a hotel, plus there is her pressie, card, drinks, etc. Then the next day is my niece's christening...then 3 days later, my birthday! OUCH!
Well the weekend is nearly over...been a good one though x"A smile takes but a moment...

Hi mummalove, VO is valued opinions, I get a few a week they are 50p-£1 ish usually, they email you when there is a new survey to do, but they are popular so unless you check in all the time you can miss them, plus you do also get screened out sometimes.
Have you joined topcashback?, I have made tons of extra buying through them and also doing free trials etc. they also do suveys, which can be quite long but they pay 70p.
These sort of things can be tedious, but if i'm relaxing watching tv in the evening it does not take too much effort to so surveys on the laptop at the same time.MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0 -
Sorry newgirly, I was having a blonde moment...I actually do Valued Opinions, but couldn't work out what VO was! Got a couple of good surveys with Toluna today with high points...really trying to get to 80,000 points by the end of this month. All my survey vouchers and money I am putting all towards my Xmas 2011 fund.
Yes, I do Topcashback and more often, Quidco. I cannot believe how many people never use either - it is literally money for nothing and considering I do pretty much all my shopping online, it is a godsend."A smile takes but a moment...

I've just updated what I've spent so far this month which is already at £99 and I have'nt used the cc for food yet! The bill is produced around the 12th so i should'nt have spent anything yet. I think i'm going to start my monthly budget from the 1st though , it is easier to keep track of and not everything ends up on the card anyway. It just means jans money gets paid out of febs wages iyswim.
I have got some ps3 and wii games for the birthdays I have this month, soooo much cheaper online than what I saw in the shops yesterday, plus cashback too
I feel really bad spending money on two nights out this month with friends but I can't get out of it, its just bad timing really. One is a favour for my best (lovley!) friend who doesn't want to go to a 40th on her own as she does'nt know anyone really. The other one is a girls night out with my friends who take turns to do lunch at home, all really nice mums from school, who sometimes go out at night but I always say no. Its one of their birthdays and they really want me to go, I just feel really bad spending on meals and drink when I'm on such a tight budget for food etc. I think I may do a store cupboard/freezer check through and try and run down some of what we have.
Anyway, I thought I might start a new challenge and join the clothes challenge. I'm not going to include dh and the kids as the twins are starting a secondary school this year which has a very strict(blooming expensive!) uniform, so that could end up sky high.
I thought I would go for a yearly budget of £100 for everything, including underwear/shoes and pjs. Not sure how realistic this is, if I lose weight it will be easier as I have "grown out" of a lot of clothes and I don't have many that fitMFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0
