Belated Happy Birthday Newgirly, I am sorry that things are so challenging at the moment. I'm sure everything will work out for the best, it usually does even if we can't see it sometimes :)

Cheers guys :) I'll probably just keep clearing the ccs until July, it would be nice to have something gone forever!

I've been spending today from the comfort of the sofa :D it's top secret but I ordered tickets for elf the musical for December. I bought one for me with birthday money from my parents and one for dd as part of her 18th and one for my mum ( who is happy to pay for her own !) a rather scary £84 each but they are a couple of rows from the front , very excited :D

Next on list is to get tickets for Star Wars and Jurassic world at the cinema, it's good to have things to look forward to :) sadly we don't get free cinema tickets from Sky movies anymore , plus they are doing away with Orange Wednesdays, very bad news. None of the cinemas nearby do tesco vouchers or offers either.

Oops nearly forgot my bargains of the day:

Buy 2 get 2 free on Easter eggs at Mr t , so £3 for 4 (I bought 12 though)
2x orchids in nice pots for £5 from bq for our mums for next week

Back to work yesterday, we have lots of work coming in at the moment which is great if hard work :D tomorrow night we have an awards ceremony to go to ( well dh does , I'm his plus one ;)) he won the business person of the year last year for our London borough, and now has been put forward for the same thing for the whole of East London. Doubt if there's much chance of winning, but it's a free night out!
It's in a posh hotel near Canary wharf I think, £92 per ticket but we got two free :T I've borrowed a dress from by better clothed best friend, and we are going on the tube, fingers crossed there is the odd free drink knocking about with dinner :D

Ds2 is currently doing work experience at the local library and ds1 is doing it our our place , as the shop that agreed to do it never did the paperwork and nowhere else said yes. It seems most companies won't take students anymore, the school didn't even have anywhere to offer him. Such a shame, it's not much trouble as we manage to take them on very few weeks.
Still it's fun seeing him working away (and getting him to make the tea :p)

Not much to report money wise except I'm paying for ds2 to have lunch out while he's working, he will no doubt be eating pizza every day for 2 weeks as there is a dominoes opposite the library that do a £2 lunch deal :rotfl:

The awards dinner was great, dh came second as business person of the year in east London and docklands. They even did a speech about him as him and the winner had so many similarities and it was so close (both had to take over after their bases died) It was a lovely hotel overlooking tower bridge, amazing views and free dinner and drinks all night

This weekend dh and dd at work, and I've invited the family over for mothers day, too lazy to do a roast though, I am doing an italian themed lunch - lasagne, houmous, dippy breads and oil, salad and salamis. Followed by costcos best fudge cake. That way I free up time in the morning to go to the first big boot sale of the year :D I am on the hunt for a teasmade, its too far to trek downstairs from the top floor at weekends , now I'm in my 40s I need one :rotfl:

I'm not in a good place with the finances at the moment, I've not done anything terrible but I am just not enjoying paying off the CCS which is not like me. I think the enforced situation of having to scrimp to clear everything in Seven years plus the pressure we will about to be under paying for the factory we are buying ,has taken the pleasure out of some of the planning etc. I have a very strong urge to go and buy a car at the moment, not helped by the fact the little mg midget we sold a few years ago drives past our house at regularly by the annoying man who bought her, i have swapped right move for looking at cars as my new hobby :o

Get the teasmade, resist the car! Rightmove is much more fun and when we were car-hunting it became a chore!

DH was going to do a car-boot today but hoping will be more worthwhile when weather a bit better towards the end of the month.

Thanks ed, its never too early for an elf clip is it :D

Dinner with the rellies was a big hit, I did a mish mash of Italian ish dishes to save time and it took ages, I always get carried away and cater for way more people than we have invited, now I have a fridge full of lovely leftovers and its a 2 day tomorrow (5\2 diet) plus my mum made a Bailey's tiramisu :smileyhea
