We had a great night out last night with best friend and her dh, good Greek food but not cheap at £135 considering 2 of us are veggie and we had no coffee and desserts, but then we are not used to eating out at proper restaurants!

Today I went Xmas food shopping with my dad, what an eye opener  totting it up according to what he has bought so far it's at around £800 odd not including the m&s shop they do last minute. Over £50 on cheese, I know I shouldn't be discussing it in here they would be most annoyed and its none of my business how they spend , but , you know its a LOT :rotfl:

I have had a rough work out of figures for the mfw2014 tonight and I think I'll reduce the budget I set the other day of £800 at least for the first 5 mths. I have a cc which has the 0% deal ending in May with a£5075 on it so if I reduce the outgoings maybe we can clear it in time. It will be tricky but a good mini challenge, the only fly in the ointment is I'd like to take the kids to alton towers for 2 nights before the passes run out in April and its £70 pn plus petrol. Other than that hopefully no big expenses.

I'm going to sleep on the figures I worked out , then update diary and mfw thread tomorrow hen I'm sure.:D

Crazy day ahead, so the long to do is is:

    Do all washing/ironing
    Clean whole house properly:
    Kitchen
    Hoovering
    Floors mopped
    Bathrooms
    Loft room
    Living room/conservatory
    Kids rooms
Clean fridge and stack yesterday's food neatly (dh unpacked ;))
Clean mums house to a very high standard :D (she is VERY particular!)
Find all missing presents and wrap...... Done, there were loads :)
Drop kids presents I bought for gran off
Print off hp conformation for tomorrow
Find meat in freezer for Xmas eve dinner to go with stuff I made sat
Do list and buy last food bits for Boxing Day
Swap presents with friends and family
    Change dd's sheets..........done :)

Dh is going for works drinks today, half day followed by the rest of the day in the pub and a curry tonight. I will go but not to the pub as I don't have time and I will only have one or two drinks as I'm driving Xmas eve morning.

    Have a great day. :rudolf:

£800 on food! You could get a return flight somewhere exotic for that! :rotfl: I mean, I like cheese, but I know what I'd go for :p

Getting there slowly, also have to dye dd's hair and drive dh and friends from one pub to another as the work do has started and they don't want to get wet. He didn't ask as they were going to get a cab but it's only 2x roads away , not very mse. I did come back from the cleaning at mums just now to a huge xmassy bouquet of flowers , so he's in the good books for the moment :D

Oops just seen posts above, list going ok so far xspender, hope yours is too. Hi pearla, I am hoping for some leftover cheese, so can't complain too much!

Phew, done for the day except cooking the kids dinner. Dh has booked a cab from the pub to the restaurant for everyone at 6.45 so I will have a nice long bath then go round to meet them yay!

Sorry I have not had time to pop into everyone's diaries as much as I would like to , I really miss it the last few weeks. I'm really looking forward to a few days at home over the Xmas hols with the kids eating chocolate and catching up worth what everyone has been up to, hope everyone is having a good Xmas and are not too stressed out :D :xmassign:
