Hi, the halifax accounts have only just been opened, all I've been doing is transfering money from our current acct. to the halifax accts and back again, ( within a couple of minutes ) so will wait and see if that works.
Its not been a good day today, DH's best friend passed away, he had been ill for a year so we were expecting it, but its still come as quite a shock. OH has been visiting him in the hospice everyday, so did get to see him yesterday, but he is obviously very upset.
I feel very tired today, not much energy to cook so DH's got a takeaway, whilst i've got a jacket spud and some wine! I'm going to try and get an early night, hopefully more chance of an extra few hours sleep. I'm not sure why but I keep waking through the night lately.MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0 -
I am so sorry to hear about your friend - must be tough on both of you, but good that DH saw his friend regularly and so he knew that ppl cared.
Thanks for the comments on your Halifax account and I will keep an eye on your posts to see if the quick transfers in and out work.
Enjoy your wine and early night!Mort at highest - June 2008 - £171,000 - Daily Int 5.9% = £27.64:eek:Offset Mort - Nov 2010 £150,299- Daily Int 3.75% = Nov £15.44Mortgage Jan 2012 - £136,000 - Daily Int 3.75% - £3.100 -
Sorry to hear you had sad news. Look after yourself tonight and don't put too much pressure on yourself to be OS tomorrow either.0

Well, I did manage to get an early night, but the dog was barking on and off so was up three times during the night. This is almost as bad as when I had twin newborns and a toddler. I think she is barking as she has not been going on many walks as its been pouring solidly for a week here. I thought I would take her out for a late night walk, but have just found out that a teenage girl was attacked a few roads away at the weekend, so have been told by my mum I'm not to go out with the dog at night!
DH has gone to work today, he is very tired but his friend who died used to run the firm Dh now runs, so all the staff are very upset too, he really needs to be there. I did manage to get him to go to bed early though, (although he still went to work at 4am).
Anyway, I don't feel like going out today , so I have been doing surveys this morning, Have only just realised that you can do them on topcashback, for 70p odd a go so will try and make that a regular thing. I got 2 VO surveystoday £1.50 and 3 onepoll 30p. Also have started doing daily clicks on topcashback.
I had a nice surprise yesterday, as DH has bought me a tumble dryer, I think he was trying to make things a bit easier as he has not been around lately, it is great especially with the rain we have had, but I would really like to find out how much they take to run, does anyone have any idea?MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0 -
No idea bout the tumble dryer hun - sorry. one day I will have one myselfCurrently studying for a Diploma - wish me luck

I have been going through all my accounts and transfering all the odd pennies, plus have transfered the the remaining £48 which I have not spent from my monthly budget on the credit card, and have got a grand total of £101 which I've just paid off the 0%CC.
It would have been more but i've had an expensive week, needed to buy new trainers and waterproofs for the boys' school trip which I was not expecting.
As I am decorating the living room while they are away I also bought the paint and some new cushions from B&Q, I spent a total of £52 on everything as all the cushions were reduced to £3 each.
Have not got far to go with the xmas shop either, got some nice bits on 3 for 2 in boots yesterday, and they were things that i know the kids will love. Plus have ordered a few novelty things from ebay for table presents for the whole family.
So it has been quite a dear week, will need to start doing a few NSD's maybe!
I still need to get in a routine evryday for checking all the surveys and daily clicks as if I don't do it first thing I have a habit of forgetting.MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0 -
NSDs what are they??? Dont have many of those these days
I stopped doing the daily clicks as well as they are too time consuming for little money.MPs left feb '08 276- Dec 13 36 :T MB Jan 10 ~ £82,377 Dec 13 ~ £29987

My tumbler was on this morning. The owl said between 20-30p per hour. Obviously depends on your rate. I try not to use mine an awful lot, but when it is wet, towels, jeans and bedding all go in otherwise we would never have anything dry.0

Oh thats interesting I thought it would be a lot more than that. I think they must be more energy efficient now than the last time I had one a few years ago.
I have been quite bad and spent money i wasn't expecting to today. DD school was shut so we decided to go shopping and I got her a new coat and boots, they were only Primark but I'd already transfered all the money I had left to the CC. So I'm going to borrow the money from next months clothes allowance. Naughty I know but we have only managed to go out alone once this year as DH is always working so we've always got boys with us! You can't be good all the time can you.MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0
