Sounds like you all had a great day - one of the benefits of the diaries though, is the genuine help and support from others. At times when we feel down, someone comes along and lifts us up and vice versa -that really is priceless - so many of you have inspired me. Glad you managed to avoid the rain

Very true Tilly, I do worry about having a diary on here incase someone I know reads it though. Dh knows I write on here sometimes but has no interest in reading it (I would have!) I really would be embarrassed as some of the stuff would definatly be thought of as eccentric and borderline bonkers! - making laundry gloop, buying out of date food for the family etc.:o
So likeminded people are essential for support.:DMFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0 -
Morning, I know what you mean about identity. Fortunately we have a band of like minded people who all understand how mad we are :rotfl: It really does help to share ideas and there is a huge amount to learn. I am finishing off the last of my AF suet pastry mix on Tuesday night. I can't recall a summer where we have eaten winter type stuff, but it's been so cold, we all want 'warm' dinners.
Anyway, my garage is so well stocked, I think I could open a shop
Have a good day - the sun is out here but very windy

Its been a funny day today, my old neighbour from next door knocked and told me she is evicting her tennants and moving back in as she has split with her boyfriend. We used to be quite friendly, even started a business together with the kids when they were small, but she met a v. rich guy, moved away and stopped contact ( I tried a few times) Her ds is the same age as my boys and they used to get on well but he was quite spoilt
allowed to watch older films/games etc. whilst mine were not.
I know it sounds trivial in the scheme of things, but I ike my privacy, as we are currently on "hello, nice day" type terms with our current neighbours, which suits me better.
Sorry for the moan, I just feel fed up at the moment and a bit stuck here, when I have no right to be so ungratefulMFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0 -
How close are they in terms of neighbour? Next door as in terraced house or a 10 minute walk over 2 fields?
Either way, you can be confident that you've acted suitably through out all of this and have tried to bridge the gap - of course now your neighbours situation has changed, she may well want to rekindle friendships with you. Sorry if it's upsetting the normal balance of your life though.Feb 2012 - onwards MF achieved

Next door as in mid terrace house with small garden! I've just read my post back and it does not sound very neighbourly really, I am a grumpy old lady before my time I thinkMFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0

I live in a semi and rarely see my neighbour, occasionally when hanging washing out or a quick wave when we are driving in or out.You can control the situation and decide how much contact you have.

Thanks nto, I'm just hoping the ds has grown out of hanging over our garden fence watching us all the time. I think I really need to live in a big field surrounded with sheep.:DMFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0
