I went onto a 2 year tracked in 2010 after realising banks could do what they wanted about their SVR. Had to laugh when you said you'd toss a coin, let us know the outcome!
    June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!

Hi weronika, I see! I had a very spoilt DD first of all so lots of pink stuff, I was sure I would have another 2 girls with the twins but no it was 2 boys, I used to dress them in pink babygrows(not dresses though!) as I had so much stuff from DD and not a lot of money, but only at bed time and while they were quite small.;)

I plan on using some of the clothes from my monkey, I think any trousers will look girly enough with a pink tshirts;)

I can't wait for shoe shopping though - I loved buying those cute clarks shoes for my son so getting girly ones will be even better:j I am shoe-shopping addict:p

A whole day at home today, I'm supposed to do a few hours for dh but want to clean the house instead, i've steam cleaned the kitchen last night so i'm on a roll.
I had a massive order from approved food yesterday, £55 odd , managed to squeeze everything in except lots of poppodums, so i have had to start eating them.:o I am going to make it a regular order and try to give up large supermarkets as I really hate going, I have been to a*di this week and the fruit and veg/chicken/bread stuff is just so much cheaper, its nearer as well, just a pain to park near hence why I don't normally bother.

DD has her last day of work experience so has gone in with flowers for all the teachers she has worked with and sweets for all the little ones, so she will be popular today.

I am going through the accounts soon so will be back later with a full round up (again :rotfl:) of my SOA and mortgage plans.

Xmas paid for by saving £1 a day minimum in a sealed tin, plus homemade/sale stuff.
Birthdays now in monthly budget, plus extra vouchers earned

I am taking part in the earn £2012 in 2012 challenge on the up your income board, so whatever earned from that will be split between op's and holidays fingers crossed.

    Budget from may 2012 onwards:

    income.................2092.00
    child benefit..........188.60
    child tax cr..............0 no longer!
    total....................£2280.60

    mobiles x 3...........32.00
    tv licence..............12.37
    elec/gas................140.00
    water....................60.00
    council tax............125.83
    home insurance.......11.83
    pension..................21.90
    life ins....................15.17
    sky ........................21.00
    car tax....................15.83
    car ins.....................22.00
    car maintenance.........8.33
    petrol.......................60.00

school dinners............48.00 (1 dinner/1 bacon sarnie each pw)
    pocket money.............20.00
    clothes.......................30.00
    birthdays....................50.00

    grocery.......................250.00
    (food/pets/cleaning)
    DH's money.................100.00
    0%cc ................................32.35
    mortgage interest.........425.00
    mortage overpayment....778.39

    money in: £2280.60
    money out:£2280.60

Heres the new revised for the millionth time budget, hopefully in the future dh will get a 10% payrise, as thats what the wages were cut by earlier in the year which would help a lot!

I am going to ring the chelsea today and request paperwork to change the mortgage to the 3.29% 2 year tracker. If I can get the balance down to £145,405 (its £147,999 today as I've just paid off £320 :j) Then the interest would be £398.65 PM, whereas the 5 year fix would have been £519.92 pm.

Its a gamble but in two years we should have paid off around £20k ish, so if the rate is higher we will have less left to pay it on.

    Current mortgage bal:£147,999
    0%cc :£3,203.55

    Total :£151,202.55

newgirly, you have just inspired me to do another SOA/budget ~ I did an airy fairy one a few months back & then promptly forgot all about it :o This time I'll do it properly & make sure I stick to it, especially the grocery budget as I'm sick of that running away with me every month!!

Hope you managed to get your tracker sorted yesterday :)

I have had a nice start to the day, tea and toast in bed and a jug of flowers, Dh is taking the boys out all morning whilst I get a roast ready for my parents, hopefully will get enough time to pop for a glass of wine at the pub before dinner.:D

Still have not sorted the mortgage yet , I will have to do it tomorrow. Yesterday we all went to dh's factory as I offered to clean, the shop floor does not ever get cleaned, so it was more sweeping inches of dust from old machinery, yuk. It still has some machinery from when it opened over 100 years ago, it really is like a time warp.

Othe than that not much else done, I need to clean the whole of my house, get food ready, sort school stuff etc.

Hope all you mums get looked after today.:D

Thanks NTO, hope you had a good day too, some of dh's machinery is still used but not all of it.

We had a nice lunch cooked by me and I even made cheesecake for the first time which was absolutely :happyhear it was going to be made with the new chocolate cheese spread but I coud'nt get hold of it, so used the usual one with cocoa powder.

I have not earned much so far this month, and have had a lot more petrol to pay for due to ferrying DD around, so today am trying to use what we have in the cupboards, I've still got the alton towers tickets to pay for (I'm sure dh said he would help, but he seems to deny knowledge of that ;)) i'm debating whether to just use the grocery budget to book the tickets  saving a bit for extra fruit/chicken/milk etc. but try and use what we have. I figure if I don't have it I can't spend it.:D

I really wish I had not done so much research into the cheapest way to get alton towers tickets, I stumbled upon the visit england offer of 25% off the merlin annual pass  Hmm, its too much money : £205 for our 2 day ticket in a few weeks time , or £435 for a yearly pass. I know I should get the cheapest, but we could go to most of the places many times through the year (AT is a bit further, so overnight)

DD wants to go to madame tussads anyway, the boys have been once to legoland with a friend but never with us and have nagged for ages, I could take them back to alton towers for scarefest for halloween, i could take them to chessington/thorpe park/LLand during the holidays when dh is at work and we are bored.

Please can someone talk me out of spending the money I have been saving up from my up the income challenge and my birthday money :rotfl:
