holidays and benefits

we are on income support and i get I/b,we are going to the canaries in 2 weeks and according to the directgov site i should inform them as i have done in the past,however i tele the BDC yesterday only to be told they no longer require this info.
Thought it might be useful to those in simlar situation

Sorry, but directgov is right, and the BDC phone advisor is wrong. You need to ask for, and complete, form BF5 to notify JCP of an intended period abroad.0

As far as I am aware you can be out of the country for four weeks before you lose entitlement to IS.0 -

You are correct, IS can continue to be paid if someone has a short holiday.0
