No never:o Is it difficult? What do I need to buy?
I am excited about the possibility of finding this out from your guys (I know slightly mad!) as I want to be able to do it on my own, not going to a salon.0 -
I can't bear waxingunderarms, legs fine. I actually find the epilator, already, better on underarms. Bikini line I've waxed, but never waxed everything...for that I've always shaved. I really hate waxing, a lot0

I have an epilator and use it fine on underarms and legs. I screamed like a baby when I attempted it on the bikini line though, so not tried it there again!Baby Ice arrived 17th April 2011. Tired.com! :j0

Is waxing really that painful? Maybe I should buy some waxing strips first to see lol0 -
I have one (about seven years old now) and even used it today.
I would say (much like other users)
legs - yup, go for it, the first hair or two is painfull and then it goes a bit numb
underarms - go for it, I don't find it that painfull, but keeping the skin taught is difficult
*oversharing alert* *oversharing alert*
bikini line - I maintain mine with the epilator in the less sensitive parts (ie the 'mound' - god, I sound like a tacky cheap 'erotic' story) but there is not a snowballs chance in hell that I would let it near the thinner looking skin at the very top of my thigh and across to the strays on the edge of the err inner 'bits', that is all for waxing only.
Loving the tip about the student waxing kit am off to check it out.£34,547 (Dec 07); Current debt: £zilch (Debt free December 2010)

Yep, exactly! Sure you can buy them other places too, have a search - even contact your local college to see where they recommend their students buy them, you might even be able to cheekily order one with them if they buy them in bulk
Cold waxing strips will always hurt more than a hot wax, the heat makes it less painful so you can't really guage properly from that.0 -
Noticed Sallys has a vat free day today too. If I know its okay and I could use it I would buy now.0

ah okay, so if I buy this one, do you think with time I could use it well and withstand the pain? OR do you have to be an expert to use?
And does it stop the hairs from growing back longer on your legs etc?0
